The following was in the USA Weekend Magazine Sunday 7-27-08 on the Monk TV series

Shalhoub and company are celebrating 100 episodes of the USA Network show so you might expect Shalhoub to feel comfortable. But no. He says he grapples with "getting insecure and less confident that you can hold the viewers' interest and help the character and show evolve . " So how does Shalhoub, 54, make his character's many idiosyncransies so believable? "Even though we know he's a germaphobe and a clean freak and phobic and all these other things, there are times when one problem trumps another." he says. "You protect yourself in one area but make yourself vunerable in another."

Don't worry, Tony. I (as well as many of us, I'm sure) still love the show as much as ever!

Thanks for the tidbit, 4thecaptain.

Hey Hello,
Tony, you have nothing to worry about. Nor only you but also your great friends Ted, Traylor and Jason (Stanley before, and now Hector) have been doing amazing things on the show, and as you've already said before, the writers are incrediblly creative, so there's always going to be fun to watch the show. I'm sure, many of us would love to have it for years. Congratulations for everything you've been doing and thank you for giving us wonderful moments of joy.
I love you all!

Yes, I agree with you all. I just love watching Monk !! It is so hard to find anything on TV that I am even remotely interested in and I love the cast !! I would even rather watch Monk repeats than half the stuff on TV. Monk Lives On !!! biggrin.gif
