Okay, once again, I'm not ripping on Psych because I love the show, but...someone else made a comment about Sean's movie/trivia references being from quite some time ago. And it is true, in the last episode about the class reunion, though Shawn and Gus are to have graduated high school in 1995, Shawn's movie references are all from the mid 80s, 1985-86 for the most part. I have often noticed his references are from the early to mid 80s, when really, he would have probably been too young to have picked up on those things. He would have more likely been playing with matchbox cars at that time instead of watching teenager angst movies. I personally love it and crack up every time because this is more my era. So I'm wondering if maybe Steve Franks is about 37-39? Maybe he's the author of such references.

I'm not that much older than Shawn and Gus, and I've seen the following 80's movies.

Better Off Dead - My favorite all time 80's movie. I know it didn't have anything to do with Psych
Weird Science
Vacation
Breakfast Club
Sixteen Candles
Pretty In Pink
Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Although a guy Shawn and Gus's age would more likely to be into 90s things during their high school years, it's not inconceivable that they would have been influenced by 80s culture. This way, Steve Franks can relive his own 80s vibe through our detectives. cool.gif
