Okay - I apologize if this has already been covered but it's bothering me since Shawn's mommy returned ....

When the show first started it seemed that there were references made about Shawn avoiding his dad (Gus saying you still haven't spoken to him) while he was riding around on his 'bike' lol

anyway - was it Shawn that had been away or his dad???

I'm confused is all b/c when his mum comes back - it's like Shawn I left b/c of bla bla bla nothing to do with you and your (so his dad raised him and all that) but I swear I felt like there had at one time been a moment when his dad said something to him about him (Shawn) coming back from his moms where he'd been for two years (in which case he didn't graduate from that high school) but maybe he'd only went for the weekend or something and so maybe it was his dad who had moved away and then moved back into their home which is where he currently resides as well - and still is stocked full of memories in the garage ...

Shawn was all around the US with differnent jobs after graduating high school. By the time the pilot aired he was back in SB. Now my understanding is while Shawn was away somewhere, Henry moved. But in the pilot, Shawn finds out Henry was back in town.

I think that when shawn was a senior, his mum left. So after he finished HS, he went with his mum for a little 'helping her with the divorce.' Henry then went to wherever he said he went. So shawn came back and heard that his dad moved back and that's when shawn said, "you never told me you came back" and henry said, "you never told me you left." So there. There's my understanding.
