Dailies are raw, unedited footage shot when making a picture. It's the "daily" footage that is developed, and synched to sound and printed on film for viewing the next day.
I took a learning annex class some years back about film making. Very interesting stuff. I used to think I'd like to work on a movie set. I love the technical aspect of it all.
I love this stuff, too. I wish I could cull all the dailies from each episode of BN! Believe me, I could watch every piece of footage from this show without getting bored. Heck, I'd even watch unedited footage of set/production designer Craig Siebels driving around Miami in his van for 13 hours! Yes, I really am that much of an addict.
