This is a fictional script story; All the characters from the world of Law & Order: Criminal Intent belong to others and not meant to do anything else, and the story is completely fictional.
Title: Haters
Synopsis: A Chinese businessman is found assassinated in a merger confrence; Logan and Wheeler are send into a perilous loophole when their case links back to a infamous hate gang led by a anti-war activist. Logan and Wheeler must find a way to take down the hate gang when other racial-theme assassinations are reported, but the activist's influence on the public will be hard to break.
intro
In New York City's war on crime, the worst criminal offenders are pursued by the detectives of the Major Case Squad. These are their stories.
*Int. Room
(Cuts inside the room as we see a mirror, as we see his back, we notice his face on the mirror: an 54 year old Chinese businessman, Han Mitsuaki. We see him fitting a outfit as we see a young 24 year old Chinese female, Akira, his daughter putting her head on his shoulder.
Akira: (Speaking very fluent English) Father, Mr. Winfield is not like the other businessmen you have encounter.
Han: (Speaking a little English) Daughter, I love you; you know that. This merger can change us...both of us.
Akira: I just don't.
Han: Maybe you need a little more zen in your life. Ain't your husband coming to the party.
Akira: He was, but was held back in Taiwan because of his work.
Han: I hope you notice your mother will be proud of you.
Akira: I'm not the one who's being celebrated.
Han: To me, you are always my celebration...no matter what merger.
Akira: (Smiling as he hugs him)
(We see another man entering the room)
Man: Mr. Mitsuaki, the limo is ready to leave.
Han: (Smiling) Let's go.
Akira: (Smiling back)
(They both head out as the man closes the doors right after them)

*Ext. Winsock Industries - Evening
(Cuts outside as we see protesters already in a protest march trying to get a hold of the people of Winsock Industries; we then see a 37 year old man, Alan Gaines, rises above the protesters and fuel them with more info)
Alan: (Over a megaphone) This is our life!
All: Take what's right! We Don't Care! End this Violence Everywhere!
Alan: We say what's right, not those hot-shot punks in suits up there; this merger will be a curse to our freedom and to our liberty!
(Cops arrived; one of the officers tries to stop the protest)
Officer: You need to stop now!
Alan: Hell no! We won't go!
All: Hell no! We won't go! (Continuing to say the same thing all over again)
Officer: I'm not going to say this again. Stop now, or we will take abrupt action.
Alan: Cops, suit punks... we need a world of non-war supplies and this merger is going to break all our Constitutional rights.
Protester#1: Yeah, we have the right for free speech!
All: Free speech... Free speech... Free speech...
(As the protesters get angry, the officer head to the other stationed cops to alarmed them)
Officer: Get ready to take these people down if absolute necessary.

*Int. Winsock Industries - CEO office
(Cuts inside the building as we see a zoom up view of the protest from the huge windows; we notice two men standing near the window looking at the protest; one man is the 63 year old Wilson Winfield, the CEO and founder, and the other is 32 year old Jon Winfield, Wilson's son and second-in-command)
Jon: Dad, this has gone out of hand.
Wilson: Son, our family have transcended this company to where it's at. This merger with Mr. Mitsuaki will go as planned; and those up tight punks nor that anti-war martyr can't tell me what to do.
Jon: What about me?
Wilson: What about you, son. This party is planned and I don't want those protesters around.
Jon: That's why the police is there.
Wilson: Well they ain't doing a very good job is it. (Holding his son's shoulders) Listen Jon, you're the next one Once I step down; I want this merger to happen no matter what happen. (Patting him on the back and walks off)
(We see a kind of worry Jon)

*Int. Mr. Mitsuaki's limo
(Cuts inside the limo as we see Han sitting in the back seat as well as Akira; we see the man from before on the side as well as we see another female as the limo is getting close to the destination)
Female: Are you prepared sir?
Han: I am always prepare. This merger will give us hope.
Akira: That's my dad. (Kissing on his cheek)
Han: (Smiling)

(Cuts to see the protesters yelling once more and the police just had enough of it and start breaking up the tirade)
(We see a mini-riot asue as we see Mitsuaki's limo pulling up)

* Int. Mr. Mitsuaki's limo
(Cuts inside the limo again as we see the others just minding their business as we see one of the protesters throwing a brick; the brick hits the back window almost hitting Han until both him and Akira duct to safety. The man running his security commands the limo to stop and all leave the limo)

*Ext. Winsock Industries
(Cuts to see Han, Akira, and his entourage being escorted by his security and the cops as the mini-riot still continue; as they enter the building, we see Alan looking at him with a discern face)

*Ext. Winsock Industries - Evening
(Cuts to the view of the ballroom hallway in the building as the riot has ended and the protesters are away with cops standing by)
*Int. Ballroom Hallway
(Cuts inside as we see Han and Wilson discussing; Akira meeting with guests; and then we see Jon looking at his watch, thinking something is about to come or something)
(Few minutes later we hear Wilson)
Wilson: (Tapping his champagne glass) Ladies and Gentlemen, today is the day we get to see a merger between two influential companies come into fruition. Like I say to my son, Jon, he will take my place soon, but right now this merger is one big last thing I can do to make this company sore even more.
(We see Han then Akira then Jon)

(Cuts to a section of a rooftop as we see a mysterious figure all dress in black including black gloves; we then see a Accuracy International AW SR-98 rifle being assimilated by the figure)

*Int. Winsock Industries - Ballroom Hallway
(Cuts back inside as we see Wilson still giving his speech)
Wilson: Our trust and guidance will bring this merger to a new level; a new generation will have the supplies they need if some kind of threat happens. With my company's knowledge of tactical plans and with Mitsuaki's safe arms supplies...we will have that technology that not only transform, but to evolve our creation to many generations that will come.
(Everyone applaud as Han approach to talk)
Han: This day will change both of us and our companies. Our family's safety was one factor why this merger is being created. We can change the world.

(Cuts back to the rooftop as the AI AW sniper rifle is set to aim and is set on the bipod as the figure's finger is close on the trigger)

*Int. Winsock Industries - Ballroom Hallway
(Cuts back inside as we join again with Han)
Han: This world will be amaze of how this merger can change us forever.
(Everybody applauding ecstatically; Akira applauding as well as Jon barely taps; Wilson soon joins back in as he says his final words)
Wilson: Like Han says, this world is ready for a change. And between us, this merger will be just like... (As he is about to snap his fingers...)

(Cuts back to the rooftop as we see the mysterious figure's finger on the trigger close to tap it as we soon heads back to...)

*Int. Winsock Industries - Ballroom Hallway
(Cuts back to the building as we see Wilson about to finish his first finger snap, and as soon he does that the rifle fires as everyone hears the fateful shot; everyone including Wilson cringes)
(Jon cringe as well as Akira, but we see Han laying on the floor unconscious and then we see blood on the floor next to him. Wilson sees his fallen partner)
Wilson: Han?!
Man: Mr. Mitsuaki?
Akira: Dad!?
(We see the body as everyone is still stunned on what just happened as Han is officially dead as we quickly zooms out)
