Well, I cant get logged on under my old name. I've tried everything everyone recommended, logging-on on different screen and different ways but it's no good.

I normally sign in as Mandeville and my e-mail is Lighthouseliquidations@yahoo.com.

I still use that mail account, I'm still getting PM alerts there, but the log-in system tells me it doenst know that e-mail address and cant send me a new password. It's been like this for days.

If there is an admin who can help, please e-mail me at the above e-mail.

I would hate to lose my account here, and I probably wont come back if I cant get it back. It's not like I feel particularly wanted around here lately anyway. I've tried everything and I'm all out of ideas.

Please help.

I just logged out and then entered that email address at the register screen--it says that email is tied to an account and asks for a password. This is the only screen that worked for me as well. Go to the REGISTER screen. Enter the email address. When the system says it has it, enter your old password. Fingers crossed. It doesn't work for everyone but it worked for me. And you are VERY wanted in here!! If you disappear, I'll likely disappear as well. It's bad enough Bubba's locked out and Meme's MIA

It sounds like you're doing everything right. I don't know what to say. sad.gif

It looks like it's doing the same thing to you that it did to me--it's only recognizing your email address from the register screen. Please go read your email! Where did you go?
adrianna10
Please, donīt vanish! This board is not the same without you. You are needed here. New signing in -system has done enough troubles to people here. sad.gif

When I tried to sign in with my email-address, the system didnīt recognize my password. Then I just put Forget password -button, and I got a new password, some number-serie to my email. After that I have managed to log in easely.
Some people have managed to get their old posts back.

Ps. I got the script today. Thank you.

Mari

I would just keep sending messages to the admin's about the problem until they fix it. The reason I say this is because my guess is that they are just ignoring your (and possibly others) requests for help.

I actually wouldn't recommend that. Here's what happened to quinfran:

They let me have that but my new e-mail account is quinfran2. I can no longer get in with my old address, so I am a newbie. Excuse me, it says Stranger!

Another post in that other "Admin, help, all my stuff is gone" type thread also says another forum went through the same upgrades and over 233 people are locked out--not sure if that's another USA forum but the upgrade and result was the same. That post also says all PMs to admins so far are returning with "inbox full" errors.

M, don't be so quick to walk away from your account in disgust. Please email me back.

Oh, so they did upgrades (my nerd thought that was most likely) .. great, and messed up the system. Nice, all PM to the admins are returning.. so they have really messed up. Online degrees aren't worth much. Ok I'm bad :-) but it was my hubby that answered the question, he has 20 years exp. and is an "Expert" nerd ( you know the nerds with all the letters and certs after their names also an MBA.. yet easy to live with :-) His reasoning was that if you keep at them they will have to take notice, he believes that they could just be dumping the messages, therefore you may get lucky that someone might finally read one.
I hope the mess gets cleared up.

Hi guys! I usually hang out over at the Law & Order:CI boards, but this 'upgrade' has affected everyone so.....

I just create a thread in the Character Lounge--basically a signup sheet for those having problems. Thread is located here: http://forums.usanetwork.com/index.php?sho...howtopic=403234

Hopefully this will get admin's attention and get someone working on this.

Am I back yet? Because I got my old Mandeville account accessed, but it's reverted my name to one I had years ago, that must have been registered on this site. And now I cant figure out how to change my Name back to Mandeville. I havent been TheAuthor in years, not since my meds drained the will to write out of me...

Could there have honestly been no better way to do this?

-Mandeville (Although you wouldnt know it!)

Fantastic! Better to lose your name and still keep your stats and inbox. Consider yourself lucky. Quinfran got her name back and lost all her stats and mail. With that pic, we all know who you are. Welcome back!

The only problem I encountered was that I had to change my password. Other than that, it was a breeze. Perhaps they've worked out all the kinks?

Oh you're back baby - no one can see that avatar and think this ain't Mandeville. No matter how many times they try to make you take a new name - you'll always be the big -M to us. biggrin.gif

A welcomed sight you are, now get back to work and make those posts we've come to know and love.

I second and third that. M's posts add flavor in here. I miss them. Nobody words their comments the way he does. sad.gif

I haven't logged out since before all the changes. Now I'm scared to. unsure.gif I wonder how long I can stay logged in before I'm automatically logged out.
