Hi everyone! So, I've been reading these posts for a while (I swear I'm not a creeper!) Anyway, I just became a SVU fan thanks to one of my roommates. In addition to playing catch up via reruns and internet websites, I've found that reading the post about the characters and the episodes has been very helpful. Ever since seeing "Signature" and "Undercover" I've had a few burning questions lol...

Ok so Liv sees Agent Cooper shoot herself and she goes undercover and is almost raped in jail. The undercover episodes is probably one of the most intense episodes I have ever seen and her reactions to what happened seem normal and appropriate for both her character and regarding real life. I feel that her scream and crying as well as her numb-like reaction to the suicide in signature is appropriate as well...BUT is there any mentioning of Olivia having to see a counselor after either one of these occurances? Also, does it bother anyone that the whole undercover episode was so emotional, yet, after that episode it is not mentioned again (unless I totally missed something).

I guess my real issue is this: I started watch SVU because I like the Elliot and Olivia relationship as well as the more in-depth emotional attachment/character development. After a traumatic experience, such as almost being rape or seeing someone commit suicide, wouldn't it be justified to have some kind of issue(s)? I understand that Liv is a strong character who has to keep her emotions in check but it seems unnatural. Again, I may have missed anything like this in later episodes (I haven't seen all of seaon 9). Anyway, does anyone else think that these two episodes could have psychological reprocussions for Liv in season 10 (especially undercover because that just seemed more personal than signature).

Sorry this is so long and if I don't make any sense or don't know wtf I'm talking about. I'd appreciate any replies, ideas, opinions, etc. smile.gif Thanks!

According to Dick Wolf and Neal Baer, Olivia's issues about what happened to her will not go ignored. They will be brought up again in season 10. As far as seeing a councler, I don't think it was ever brought up. I'm sure she has been told to see a councler by Cragen but it hasn't been on the show. Maybe season 10 will give you the answers you seek wink.gif This really should have gone in the 'Episodes Questions Thread' but...oh well.

Hey, there. Welcome. And feel free to join us over on the EO thread. They are planning on addressing this in the season premiere and also in season ten.
