I guess I'd have to say...when he's rolling around in the empathy suit thing, when he finds out he's not 'the man', and when the captain catches him at the concert.lol

Randy Disher is such a great and funny character, which of his scenes do you recall most? Sorry if this topic's been posted before.

So many to choose from! I love the scene from 'Mr. Monk Goes to a Wedding' where Randy invokes Natalie's code word (originally put in place to get Natalie out of a tight spot with her parents) for himself and later, after the poor darling has been knocked over, he is just so sweet lolling about, slurring and dropping his head on the Captain's shoulder whilst Monk is trying to write on his cast.

Man, such a tough question! I love Randy to death, and there are so many of his scenes that are favorites...

In no particular order, though-

'Farm' where he's standing by the truck shouting "BANG!!" at the sky. Oh, also, the memorable line, "What kind of cop eats a crucial piece of evidence?!" Also has one of my favorite Randy triumph moments, when he finds the crucial piece of evidence.

'Panic Room'- "MONKEY!...False alarm, false alarm..."

'Astronaut'- that whole escape pod theory, but especially that look on his face after he went through the whole thing and the captain said he's heard theories and that's not one of them. Was very fond of his little office supply/styrofoam cup 'SHiP' too.

'Missing Granny'- while looking at the chair, asking, "Does it swivel?" as if he's thinking of buying one like it for his home office, or maybe he could understand then why it worth so much, but only if it swiveled.

'Rapper'- "He called me white!! Don't deny it--"

'Captain's Wife'- "Maybe he's an Indian, you know, protesting against technology?"
MONK: "That doesn't make a lot of sense. Hardly any really."
RAND: "I mean a Native American."
MONK: "That doesn't help."

'Biggest Fan'- The bachelor auction strip tease.

'Up All Night'- His wobbly Captain America with the trashcan lid shield, this actually might be my personal favorite.

'Garbage Strike'- picking apart the Alice Cooper wants an antique chair theory.

There are a whole lot more but I could spend all day thinking and listing Randy's best (funniest) moments.

Any Randy/Sharona scene where they bickered...

I also loved the scene in "TV Star" where he get's 'caught' staring at Sharona.

The 'wrap up' scene in "Farm".

One of my favorite Randy moments came when he finally told off the captain and left the force to really work on "The Randy Disher Project."

I was like, 'way to go Randy, tell him off, you're not a dummy, he's got it coming.'

Another was Wedding, when he uses his amazing memory to identify the bride as 'the black widow.'

Those weren't funny moments, and there have been some great ones....practicing/playing a statue is one that comes to mind, but I like it when Randy can stand up for himself and be the hero and not just the guy with the crazy theories.
CrystalSmith
I liked in the Fashion Show ep when Randy is checking himself out in the mirror and Natalie stands in front of him, trying to block his view. LOL

Also, I liked the hug scene in Run II. And the Drillshake scene in Run I.

There were so many good Sharandy scenes, Sharona and Randy together were a much better pair than Sharona and Monk, IMO. Adrian just didn't get Sharona's humor like Randy did.

Of course, I forgot when he annoyed the captain with his mp3, and he had to stomp on it.lolPoor Randy. And that was the second one he bought.

god..there is so many great moments...One that no one has mentioned was Greatest Fan when they were trying to catch the bad guy and Randy used his skills from the game Timber to knock out the guy....totally loved that one...

A caring moment with Natalie from the 3 Julies...with the ice cream...hilarious...

But I dont think it can top his strip tease at the aution..my favorite!

Hey Hello,
I love Randy. He's relly funny. All his funny scenes were great, but I have two one's which, for me shows Jason's talent, because just with some kind of body moviment and few words he can make me laugh:
1. Season 5 - "the Hospital" Episode:
(the old patient - don't remember his name-, asking Randy to get closer, and suddenly screaming)
- Patient: Is this your first day with brain?
(Randy, eyes wide open, quickly answers and look at the captain)
-NO!!
2. Season 6 -"the Three Julies" Episode:
Natalie is worried with Julie and Randy, having an ice-cream, explains he's there to protect Julie, so she can be calm, nothing is going to be wrong. While saying that, some ice-cream spills on his tie and he licks it over! laugh.gif

Can't believe we haven't got to, "Drop the pie, sir; step away from the pie." That was pretty priceless.
CrystalSmith
Speaking of which, Randy showing the bruise on his shin in the Hospital episode was great!!!

I loved him in On the Run 2, when he was somewhat disappointed Monk wasn't dead because he had just written the best song of his career.

Remembered another one! In 'Mr. Monk Joins a Cult', after the gang (with Dr. Kramer) have staged an intervention to bring Monk back into the real world, Randy leaps up (even though no-one asks him too) to take his turn at talking Adrian around.

I don't what I find funnier - whether it's because within minutes of trashing the cult to Monk, Randy ends up bare-chested, cross-legged harmonising with Monk, singing 'Father's song' or when Natalie hears singing and thinks it's Monk, Stottlemeyer knows straight away that it's our boy.

Dr. Kramer ends up relieving Randy of his duties, but not before making sure one of the gang is around to stop Disher from parting with his money as he wants to give it to the cult!

I just love how impressionable Randy is - has been since the start - consistenly, goofily endearing.

When he said the "soda" line and when he kept drinking all that soda in the one episode (funny they both have to do with soda..)
randys1girl
Oh my God... Randy is so hilarious that it's going to take me forever to think of all the hilarious moments of the past six seasons..

My favorite is when Adrian called him "Toy Store" although that was more of a favorite Adrian moment...

Love the Keifer Sutherland theory in "Goes Home Again" where Randy thought the suspect drawing looked like Keifer Sutherland and wanted to write at the bottom "Not Keifer Sutherland"

In "Farm", at the end, Randy laid down on the couch so that he could "solve" more murders, since he thinks that he solved his uncle's murder in his sleep.

In "On the Run" that song he wrote about Adrian's "death" was a riot!

The "Get away from the pie" line was great!

From the opening credits-the Vegas episode I think, where Randy has that cigarette and Leland flicks it out of his hand!

The smashed MP3 player and the soda were hilarious!

Andrea

PS: More to come...

I loved this one, too! When I drew portraits of the cast and sent them along with Teresa to give to them, I wrote 'Not Keifer Sutherland' on the back of Jason's, and he loved it.

A bunch of us went to LA to stalk the daytime emmys since we are HUGE General Hospital fans. So we went back to the hotel where the stars were staying (it was like midnight!) and saw Sarah Brown, who is on GH and guested on Monk last year, I believe. Jason was with her! So while my friends were getting pix with Sarah, I went up to Jason, told him I was a big Monk fan and he said thanks and that he has so much fun on the show. He plugged "In Plain Sight" and then another lady started talking to him. I don't remember what she said cuz I was in awe that I ran into him!

I asked this one lady to take a pic of us but it came out blurry (I was so pissed) but I got another one of him by himself. Never did talk to Sarah!

Here is the pic I got:

I found this and posted it elsewhere. Wow.

Edit for a quick explaination. This is Sarah Brown (she was 'The Guy" in Mr. Monk and the Leper,) and they are at the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. I'm not sure if he's 'with' her, or just taking a pic w/ her.
