While watching last weeks episode I got worried that the writers intend to use Brandi to break up Mary and Raphael, which will mean he's heading for USA oblivion. This would make me sad. Not only is he gorgeous, he's also a sweet soul and a patient, wonderful balance to Mary's creepy family. On top of this, it's great to see a Latino playing such a strong and gentle good-guy character. Please, don't take him away from us!

If he's with Brandi, he'd still be in the show.

Not necessarily. I think that no Ralph & Mary=No Ralph.

So far, all the recurring characters are tied directly to Mary. No character is one-person-removed; which is what Ralph would be.

The thing that gives the Ralph character its "umph" is his complicated, unsettled, fluctuating relationship with Mary. Even his dealings with Brandi play of his relationship with Mary. If it turns out to be Ralph and Brandi, we know that Mary is the kind of person who can cut her loses. And without that Mary-in-the-mix-tension, I for one would not be at all interested in what Ralph (even with his considerable assets) is up to with Brandi. (Except, of course, if that long-awaited boyfriend shows up and there is some bloodletting—and Mary has to save their %$#s.)

If we see Jinx and her boyfriend, we'll see Raph and Brandi. Will it be annoying? I dunno, probably less annoying than all of the sister and mom's other scenes. I actually think Brandi and Raph are very cute and fun to watch together.

Raph is great eye candy but I don't think he has enough "umph". I know he's basically "the girl" in his relationship with Mary but he's needs a little more backbone. Being the long-suffering significant other gets old.

I'd rather see Raph stay and Mary get kicked off. I like how Brandi (is that her name?) calls him Chico.

Not quite sure where Jinx's boyfriend is now. I think they're trying to replace him with her boss now.

Oh I think things could get interesting if Mary still holds a spark for Raph while he's with Brandi. Especially if Mary and Marshall's relations grows. Marshall has to put up with Mary's torch (or maybe in this instance...matchstick) for Raph. Does she still want Raph only because Brandi caught him or does she still have feelings for him and how would that affect Marshall and Mary's relationship?

Could be a whole season of playing around there.

I don't get all this Mary and Marshall getting together stuff. The show is hanging on by a thread as it is and some people want to change the only character, Marshall, that is keeping this show alive. I certainly would stop watching if Marshall and Mary were romantically involved. Something on the show needs changing to get past season 2, but it isn't Marshall's character. As I see it right now, Mary is the biggest liability of the show and too bad the show revolves around her character.

I think that you're outnumbered by the people who want M/M together, myself included.
