What's your favorite episode of Burn Notice?

Needless to say, I still LOVE the Broken Rules epi but the finale and pilot are close seconds. Below is one of the many reasons I liked Broken Rules:

This is very difficult of course but I am going to go with the season 1 finale. I liked the whole rescue of Sam, I thought BC was wonderful in this eppy (more so than usual biggrin.gif ). I liked the exchange between Michael and Fi when she thought she might not see him again. And of course the ending scene of Michael driving into the trailer. It left me in major suspense for the season 2 opener.

sorry, I am taking the chicken little way out. I am not picking a favorite. ANYTHING THAT JEFF IS IN, which is basically the entire season 1 is my favorite. But I gotta say, I love the psycho mikey but also, every scene Michael Westen is in a BLUE shirt. Also the scene where Fi pours Mikey more Sake and he tells her she was the closest he ever got, but it wasn't close enough then shakes his head.

Yeah... what mjwannabe said...

(Girl, we've got to start working on this "world domination" gig... I really think it's do-able! LOL!)

Gotta go with the finale, too. For several reasons...Sam's hostage scenes, the cliffhanger, Michael's defense of his family, and most notably...Michael running. Can't. Get. Enough.
hrstxb
Absolutely! Vestokes. And my second is when Fi makes the boat go Boom!!

oh btw....Fav epi is still the season finale

Ahhh yes, very nice choice! The actor who plays Carmelo always plays such a slimeball. LOL

And don't forget Fi on the run and she is rescued by Michael and Nate.

OH YES! Love that crazy guy!

I also must mention the Fi and Mikey fight scene in - I think "Broken Rules". Yes, people he is shirtless in that scene.

The pilot. Most definately. That is so my favorite episode of ANYTHING on TV. Which is odd, because pilots generally suck...

I gotta do a clip of that. He's shirtless in that scene and in my sig scene below with him and Fi with the gun. There's so many things going on with that epi that I had to watch over and over to absorb them.

I love everything about this scene! How Fiona looks at Michael and says, "knock 'em dead." How Michael answers Carmello's question, "What do you want?" - Michael: "I just wanna talk." Then there's the champagne quip - "a little dry, but sometimes dry can be refreshing!" *LOL* And of course, the raining down hell declaration - because it *was* a declaration.

Amazing, amazing scene. The writing is just so tight on this show, it's unbelievable.

My favorite episode...it's so difficult to choose, sigh. I think the one I enjoy the most is "Broken Rules." But like Vestokes, I too would rank last year's season finale as an extremely close second, followed by the pilot. I've watched all of these episodes several times and they only get better with subsequent viewings. Now *that's* a good television show for you!

As for "Broken Rules," I thought everything was pitch perfect in this episode. The writing was phenomenal (seamless transitions between the A and B story-lines, i.e. when Michael returns to his loft after having played the psycho in Little Havana, and Agent Bly's "you look fabulous" quip and their ensuing conversation about Michael's side jobs and his burn notice - it's marvelous how the stories segue together). There's the acting - JD in this episode left me speechless and in awe of his comedic timing, his sexy good looks, his dramatic flair and versatility as an actor. The guest stars were wonderful in this episode as well - the guy who played Ernie Paseo was fantastic! I loved the wardrobe choices. I loved the filming locations. I loved how the episode was directed. I loved the funny little touches along the way - Michael reading the soap opera magazine, for instance, lol. This was the kind of episode where even the little moments were a revelation. One of the things I loved the most in this episode was that little tiny look that Michael Westen gives as he gazes up at that stained glass window of Christ in the church where he meets Ernie for the last time. It was only for a second but I noticed it and I loved it..

The attention to detail given by the actors and the crew on this show...it astounds me and delights me to no end. wub.gif

edited to clarify a thought...

Damned skippy!!!

Which episode was the Damned Skippy? Was it the same ep as Fi's bounty hunting one? That was too cool. I remember there being a lot of references in that ep.

Anyway Broken Rules is hands down my favorite episode. With Turn & Burn coming in at a close second. And last seasons finale #3.

I wouldn't say the pilot was my favorite but it was really good. Good enough for me to watch to the next ep & keep watching thru episodes for two days straight on my vacation! A friend sent me a link in an im about two weeks ago & I've been hooked ever since. I watched season one two times on line & Broken Rules & Turn & Burn more than I can count. LOL.

And I'll admit, I'm a big fan of Mikes Mum! She is spot on in this role I thought it was hysterical she picked a councilor that looked & dressed so much like her & when things didn't go her way said to Mike "There was something about her I liked"! What a crack up!

hey. favorite episode...that's kinda hard to choose. Love this show and the excellent writing. I have alot of favorite moments. (almost everyone with sam) if i had to pick i would say the season finale... although i'd have to choose again after this season ends. Also loved Unpaid debts... the scene under the bridge where they all meet... love when Michael says " I know I know and then you'll cut my throat" like it was no big deal .... wasnt even a threat. And WantedMan loved MrCampbell in that uh Sam uh "Chuck Finley" (no drinks!) loved it all. Loved this past episode too with the pilates ball and the drunk "Chuck" on the phone bothering Sophia. Peace. (is it thursday yet?)

In "Dead Drop" Fiona asks if Sam wants her to be his wingman and he responds, "Damn straight, skippy!" So hilarious XD

I am back and forth on this,
I love the finale of season 1
BUT
If I had not fallen in love within the first minutes of the pilot
would I have watched the finale???
So it is like the chicken and the egg
course in this instance the pilot had to come before the finale.

my choice is the pilot without Sharon's wig. with Fi's irish accent
and ALL Micheal Weston

That is why I just took the chicken way out. I can't do a fave except for the clothes one of Mikey as Pyscho. It's just a great show with all of them in action. Gabby in the tiny dresses, Sam, cool as a cucumber and well, even mom when she is on and of course Jeffrey. The show just ROCKS!!! Never, ever a DULL moment. Just goes by too quickly in season 2 it seems. sad.gif It needs to be longer.. Commercial FREE!!!!! or at the end of the eppie they could just have Jeff, Bruce, Gabby, Sharon, even Matt Nix and Jeff Freliech(sp) just talking off camera. just to take up time. Or just do a 2 hour show with everyone just talking consistantly about nothing in general. Just taking up airtime for the sake of time... smile.gif

I think he does the voice over in all the epis. So, are all the epis your fav? I can understand that! I do like the scene in the Pilot where he does his show and tell.

That is one of my all time favorite scenes from the entire show thus far. I just loved it when Michael showed up Mr. Fancypants.

At first step it was "Hard Bargain". But I agree - it's toooo hard to choice.
