I've been a fan of The 4400 from its first season. I generally didn't start watching each season until midway through the summer. So being midway through the summer now, I looked at my TiVo recordings, but no 4400. It took less than 5 minutes of poking around to find that The 4400 has been axed! What the hell? I realize that its ratings wasn't has good as other shows, but why screw with fans like that? Especially after that wonderful season 4 ending with everyone getting abilities!

Networks and advertisers really need to come up with better ad schemas/models. The current one is not working. Shows that have huge fan bases but low ratings are getting canceled frequently.

The original Star Trek series never got good ratings, but look where that franchise is now.

So have I read correctly that The 4400 universe is going to live on in novels? I'll take what I can get, but I think devoted fans deserve a better closure.
