USA NETWORK PICKS UP NEWEST ORIGINAL SERIES 'IN PLAIN SIGHT' FOR SEASON TWO
Network Gives Hit Series 16-Episode Order

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – July 20, 2008 – IN PLAIN SIGHT, USA Network's newest original scripted series, will return for a second season with series star Mary McCormack ("The West Wing," "Private Parts") returning. The series, created/written/executive produced by David Maples ("Home Improvement," "Huff") and executive produced by Paul Stupin ("Dawson's Creek," "Beautiful People"), has been given a 16-episode order and will start production in October. IN PLAIN SIGHT will once again be shot entirely on location in and around Albuquerque, NM. The announcement was made today by Jeff Wachtel, executive vice president, USA original programming & co-head, original programming, Universal Cable Productions.

IN PLAIN SIGHT has been a tremendous ratings success for USA and is currently the #1 new scripted series of 2008 (to date). Across seven weeks, the show has averaged 2.21 million in P18-49, 2.56 million in P25-54 and 5.22 million total viewers. Since the show has been on the air (June 1 - July 13), USA has been the #1 cable network in the Sunday 10-11pm time period among all three demos. In addition, among P18-49 and P25-54 USA ranks ahead of CBS in the time slot. The most recent episode of IN PLAIN SIGHT on July 13 was the most-watched since the series premiere and was up +20% in P18-49, +13% in P25-54 and +11% in total viewers from the prior week.

Thank Heaven - there is little to watch on TV anymore - and this show is a gem! This and Burn Notice are my faves!
I agree that Mary's sister is really wrong. I could care less about the boyfriend...the drugs in Mary's house are really more of an issue. Not cool at all. Hopefully the sister will get rid of them before Mary finds out. There is being an airhead and being downright dumb. Of course there is always the "but I love him" excuse. Still dumb.

Awsome I'm looking forward to it.I really like this show.It's better than a lot of the other ones that are coming out this year.

Yay! I am soo happy the show is coming back. I love the chemistry between detective Bobby D and Mary I hope to see more of him.. He is really fine and adds to the show

I don't think Brandi is a scheming little sister out to steal Mary's boyfriend. I think......it just happened. Mary asked her to do a favor by being Raph's taxi while he was mending. So, in actuality, it's Mary's fault for bringing the two together.

Raph is getting more from Brandi emotionally than he got from Mary. And Brandi is getting something much nicer than Chuck. In fact, he's the nicest thing she's ever come across (looking at her sister and mother). And Mary just isn't there for Raph.

While I don't condone the fact she is in fact stealing her sister's boyfriend, I can definitely understand it. And from the dagger eyes Mary gave just before she walked out in the last episode........she is plenty pissed.

Besides, Mary gave Raph permission to date others (just not her sister). You think Mary's reaction would be any different if there was a gorgeous redhead sitting on his lap? Besides....If you are giving permission for your S.O. to date others, you can't put stipulations on it. She basically broke it off with Raph. Isn't that the standard line for breaking up? "It's okay to date other people".
