I liked the epi, too! Didn't you see my earlier posts?

One thing did really bother me, tho: Peter's girlfriend spoke with a heavy "Russian" accent, and even spoke "Russian" into her cell phone at one point. Her SISTER spoke English with NO accent. ????? Not quite sure why, and was never explained......

Still, really good epi.

Ciaddict! You go girl! I'd better leave now....I think I hear Mikey's footsteps in the hall. I'll leave you two alone.....

I saw it, FM. Just trying to drum up some interest. Guess we were in the minority tonight. I had forgotten that about the sister. I did kind of go, huh? when they were talking to her.

LOVED IT! This is one of my all-time favorite Logan episodes. Not up with Senseless, but definitely up there with Renewal. Yes, Mike was looking very hot tonight and I loved the jeans and the green shirt in the beginning.

Spoiler:
As usual I didn't figure it out until near the end, but my daughter had the manager nailed. But she kept flip-flopping on whether the brother was involved. Miguel Ferrer was excellent as usual. At the end as Mike was recalling all the evidence (nice touch, BTW) I figured the brother had figured out the manager did it and was going to go after him. But I thought Mike would get there in time to stop him. As soon as the camera showed the boy's face I knew he had killed the manager. That entire last scene just made me want to cry for the brother and for Mike. So sad. I was glad that Ross kept Mike out of the interrogation of the brother, and that Mike listened to him. Chris did a nice, nice job in this episode. I felt his pain. I also loved Wheeler's reactions to the boxing and to the manager. I feel the same way about boxing, Megan--no poetry there for me, either! Oh yeah, I'm usually not too fashion-conscious, but that ruffled shirt has got to go. laugh.gif

Wow, no love for this episode. Was I the ONLY one who liked it? Sigh......looks like we need Cheerleader Ciaddict again.

Logan, Logan, he's our man! If he can't do it, no one can! YAYYYYYYY LOGAN!

Hey Hey
You get out of her way
Today is the day
Wheeler will put you away!
YAYYYY WHEELER!

Ross is number one
Can't be number 2
And he's going to beat
The whoopse out of you!

Have fun you two!

I liked the episode. I hated that ruffled shirt, it looked like a snake trying to choke her. I like the story like, even though I am not into boxing. I wasn't sure exactly who it was, until then ending. I thought the girlfriend was more involved, she acted so guilty. CN loked nice, even in street clothes. Going to miss his personality on the show.

Well I liked the episode, and the shirt. Wheeler's got a long and skinny enough neck to get away with that collar. The blazer, though, *gag* all wrong with that shirt. It was too tailored and masculine for it to work with that very feminine blouse. The lapels were so sharp you could have cut yourself on the edges! That blouse needed jacket with more rounded softer lapels, and preferrably more blue or possibly a dark brown.

... what? Wait, this isn't the Project Runway forum? Darnit!

Actually, we should be asking ourselves why Wheeler was trying to look so feminine. It obviously clashed with the jacket, and generally she's wearing button down dress shirts, tanks, and sweaters. The blouse was an addition to a wardrobe that maybe she didn't choose for herself. Perhaps it's the mysterious fiancee? He could be European, which might explain the more current and girly blouse choice for her...

The episode was okay, it doesn't beat the emotional punch of Senseless or especially Renewal for me, but you could definitely see Mike struggling with his sense of responsibility for the boy (in a good way).

Maybe Mikey will open a boxing school? Maybe as a sideline he can teach self-defense...

I kind of like this episode...it wasn't that wow factor like reunion, but it's alright. Miguel is one of the coolest actors ever on tv and I knew it was him once I seen the first promo of this episode who just pushed Mike; I seen this episode and all I can say is can't wait for more Logan turning emotional. Guess it's a foreshadow to what we can expect in Last Rites.

I can't wait for the next l/w eppy...Negihborhood Watch.

My oldest daughter just loaned me her boxed set of SATC, which I really only want to see because of CN. But I've watched the first two episodes and I gotta say so far I'm not too impressed with Mr. Big. A little too.....I don't know....pompous? for my tastes. My younger daughter assures me he is going to grow on me. Maybe. So far I'll take Mike Logan over Mr. Big (and do we ever find out his real name?).

I did get to see The Perfect Man with Chris Noth this Weekend it was very good. I recomend it.

Now for this episode, my son called during it, and its sad, I didn't bother to rewind the DVR. It just didn't peak my interest. At first I thought maybe it was the girlfriend, killing the brother to get the trainer to spend more time with her boyfriend. But really I didn't care. I really didn't like the episode, I hate sad endings. This is an episode when I hate not having Carver or a DA. I want them to walk up and say, "Well, his lawyer can plead emotional distress, since the man did kill his brother, and pushed him to be a killer. We will let him go into a psych hospital." I want to know what happens next! Why make me care about a killer then not tell me what happens to him. Writers this is not fair! How dare you do this to me. Either make me not care about the killer, or tell me what happens. This sucks.

I thought this episode was pretty good for a Logan episode. Actually, I really liked Logan in this episode. I’ve gone from tolerating his character, to not minding his character (since he’s been partnered with Wheeler and Falacci), and now in this episode I liked him. That’s not bad. It only took Logan almost his entire career for me to like him. I knew the killer was either the manager or the girlfriend, but the manager was such a control freak/jerk. I also liked the shots of Logan thinking back. Logan has been more cerebral than reactive lately. I like prefer cerebral over hot-headed. I thought Ross was a good guy in this one. It was a good decision to not let Logan interrogate the kid, but Ross didn’t come off obstinate

What was up with that ugly giraffe-print blouse with the ruffle down the front that Wheeler was wearing? It's nice to see that the wardrobe problems exist for Logan/Wheeler episodes too.

Yes, that shirt was awful. The first scene with it I thought “that is butt ugly!” Unfortunately, she got to wear that shirt, maybe half the show? tongue.gif

Good catch! I didn’t even notice that her sister didn't have an accent. I wonder if she was actually talking to her sister? Then again, they didn’t show her conversing with anyone else in Russian. Well anyways, my bad. I usually catch little stuff like that and I totally missed it.

I could live with that! lol.

Or they could start doing like the old dragnet, my husband and I discussed that last night. At the end of the episode they showed the criminal standing, was he taking a mug shot? Or just standing there? But they would tell you what happened to everyone.

I loved that. They did it on that show with Efrem Zimbalist Jr., too. Was it called the F.B.I.? I know it was about the FBI. I loved that show when I was growing up.

A more serious answer is, well, I don't know if they would send him to a psych facility, but I would think the circumstances might mitigate his guilt and maybe his sentence. And it would be nice to know what happens. Maybe Logan will mention it in the next two episodes--doubt it, but maybe.

Late to the party once again...had to watch the Mad Men premiere...twice rolleyes.gif (BTW that was pretty cool too)

I liked this episode a lot...glad that the writers didn't pull any punches with the ending although I would have liked the reveal to be told by a device other than a flashback. But I could see how Logan feels about this as possibly the beginning of the end...nothing like an exercise in futility to make you reconsider what you are doing. And a DA here might have been a good device to use to tell the ending instead of the flashback montage.

The blouse on Wheeler was a little Austin Powers looking (paired with a blazer and hiphugging pants made it more so). I didn't mind it though although I am far from a fashionista. Still you could have worn that outfit in 1967 and been pretty complemented on your "mod gear" laugh.gif

Ya I didn't like that either. The flashback montage seemed like a cop out to me. But I thought the scene after it, where Logan finds the kid with the blood all over him, was very well done. A nice piece of acting by Noth and the kid.

While I'm not running out to look for that blouse at my nearest mall, it didn't really bother me. It's New York, they wear odd stuff from time to time. Just as long as they don't wear stuff that's too sexy or young because then they just look like actresses to me, I can't see the "cop".

Actually I didn't even notice what Logan was wearing because he looked so smoking hot. I just stared at his face and hair. Best he has ever looked.

The entire episode appearance was very bright. Hope they are not trying for a CSI-Miami colorful look. The girlfriend was a beautiful girl. Boxer kid was a nice looking kid too too.

I've been wondering about Wheeler's clothing choices too (didn't finish reading page 3 before I had to post!)....either someone brand-new is working in wardrobe, she's wearing her mother's clothing, fiance's dressing her, or I need to get fashionable! lol

this was my favorite L/W epi! by far. i think i will now be looking forward to L/W as much as G/E. logan did look great, and i think the writing was great. i do agree with some that i'd like to carver back to give us a little more closure on the characters. and although ca ross is growing on me, i sure miss deakins!

and yes, YUK to that terrible shirt wheeler was wearing!

Ok, I'm watching it again.

I loved the ruffled shirt with the black jacket on Wheeler - - very Annie Lennox. I detested that fugly green shirt she was wearing in the interview room.

And I think she was speaking Polish, not Russian- - pierogies are Polish and she brought them for dinner....

I finally had the opportunity to watch this episode and I liked it. Hey Mikey I liked it. (bad old cereal reference) Loved the kid. I thought he was very good. There were some nice twists and turns to keep me guessing although I was pretty sure Miguel Ferrer (sp?) was involved I just wasn't sure of the motive. The end was sad but very well done. I liked the backstory of Logan mentoring the kid. At least we know Logan does have some kind of life outside of work and the kid looked up to him. Of course that created more sadness for Logan. So I wonder if this episode was written before or after it was known that CN was leaving. Anyone know?
