My compliments to all involved with Monk - the cast, writers, director, producers and others - for a great opening season episode. Prior to the show, I was unaware of the passing of Stanley Kamel, so learning of his passing at the end's dedication was something of a shock. Faithfully watching Monk since its first episode, I have always enjoyed Dr. Kroger's character and Mr. Kamel's portrayal, and both will be missed. Please accept my sympathies to all who knew and loved Stanley. I thought the memorial show was a fitting tribute to Mr. Kamel and to the character of Dr. Kroger that he brought to life. Personally, I am appreciative that Dr. Kroger was written out rather than the actor replaced. Additionally, I am glad that USA is carrying the show on Fridays. I look forward to an exciting season.

Cash, nicely stated. My thoughts & feelings exactly.

I have never seen a show so loving dedicate a whole entire episode to a cast member before. The writers, and everyone else involved did a wonderful job in making sure that Stanley Kamel wasn't forgotten. We all want to be remembered.

That was beautiful and so appreciated by the members here! I hope you'll stay around and post with us, because we have a lot of fun discussing our favorite (and sometimes not-so-favorite) Monk episodes! I hope the writers are reading this board and can see your wonderful post!

Welcome to the board!
