I have a ligament email acct. I pay each month to bellsouth.net I know my password is right. Before the change I did make sure my email addy was correct on my acct. But I can't get in. I had to go to yahoo.com a site anyone can get an email without verification to get this ID to be able to log onto this site. Your new way to log on didn't get rid of spammers it got rid of long time poster. Made us lose our identities. Please let us know you care and at least let us know your working on the problem.

Maybe it's cuz it's the Westminster Kennel Club Admin working on it and they don't have opposable thumbs.

Sadly, I don't think anyone cares about us. They've never replied to ANY PM or email I've ever sent.

Well, that's just sad! The mods should reply to PMs- - maybe if they would start a thread giving those of you with issues and update (just a matter of time for me). I've not had to log in so far, but I hope these issues are resolved before I need to.

They should also restore your post counts....It's so easy to do as a mod.

Its sad that I can't have an acct here with my email address issued by my internet provider, who knows who I am, and I pay them every month. But I can get a acct using Yahoo who I can make up any information and can have as many emails with them as I can create names.

Andy and I didn't have a problem getting back on, other than we had to request new passwords. Then once we got on we changed our password to what we wanted.

However.......Andy was on and checked my profile and it gives the option of sending me a PM and sending me an email. I don't want the option to send me an email, so I logged on and went into my account. There's a place that you can 'check' that says something about hiding my email from search results. I clicked that but it didn't do anything different. Everytime I try to edit my settings or edit my email settings, anything, it puts me into an account setting which doesn't help me at all.

Spook, what do you mean by "I'm still logged on"? Do you never log off and never close the LOCI site? Then why is your "little person" not always lit?

I don't see anyplace on the board where Admin did any improvements.

And, like someone else said, I PM'd them when I originally couldn't register and they have never replied.

The anonymous thing.....it doesn't give the choice anymore. However, when Andy logs in he is always anonymous even though he doesn't request it. We assume it's because he always did it that way and therefore it the default for him.

Andy's sister used to post on the NBC board and said the moderators there were too strict and really policed the site. But having no moderators at all is just as bad.

When I first tried joining the board I received a message saying I'd be receiving an email to activate my account. It took me several weeks of trying - using variations of the boardname I wanted and different email addresses that I have to finally make it in (didn't get the boardname I've used on LOCI boards, but oh well, I don't really post on anymore anyway.)

Since I finally made in to the board I've NEVER logged out - I ran into the same problem when the NBC boards 'upgraded' - I couldn't get back in, and finally just gave up.

The one thing that bothers me I can't update my fanfics. I post updated chapters but can't list them in the titles.

Here's something infuriating for one of our members. Laurengoren received a message from the webmaster the night before their socalled upgrade telling her she will have to login using her email address, which is the same as the one they sent her message to. Today she tried to get on and had to click "Forgot Password". When she typed in her email address for them to send the new password to it told her they "didn't recognize her email address"!! Yet it's the same email address they sent her message to!

She replied back to them, but we all know she'll never hear from them. Unfortunately for us, Lauren says if she never hears back she isn't creating a new account since she doesn't come here very often anyway. It's the principle of the thing.

Jryan, do you remember when a past member started a new board? Andy was eventually invited and you were, too. It was a really nice board; quiet, but laid out so nice. Of course, she turned on Andy and banned him from the board and he took it out of his favorites so he can't get back to it. But my point is, do you or maybe someone else here know how to start one that we could all go to and get rid of USA board? I think it was "myfreeforums" or something like that.

Well, I've logged in and out at least 3 times with no problems (at different times of day, of course). (Check the Etiquette and/or the Off-Topic Thread if you want to know how I managed to retain my Screen-name and Password.)

I thought all of you having difficulties should be aware of something else that seems odd to me.

But, I just checked my PMs. Since I don't use that feature often and I don't receive many either; I re-opened my in-box and found a previously opened PM from April 16; curiously, the sender's name had been changed to Gorens Veal. I guess the "new" system is supposed to change the screen name on all previous posts; but, if that's the case, shouldn't it also carry forward the posting record as well?

And now not only has a FIXTURE of the USA boards as a whole been locked out of his identity... We also have a spammer on the front page.

I know there's a couple of other LOCI boards out there, but I don't think it would be the same as here. One I know is more Serious Business than how we like to kick back around this one. There are always options though I'm sure.

Exactly! That's TWO spammers this weekend and a whole bunch of disgruntled loyal members. Upgrade is workin' GREAT, guys! Maybe with the next upgrade you can do something really special--like come to each of our homes and kick our dogs.

I think I may be one of the only ones for whom the transition went okay (I did what LOCIFan2 suggested, did a 'forgot password request' and the relogin went okay despite initial messages of 'that name & email are already in use' when trying to login with my correct email address and password) but I'm posting here to voice support for all of my fellow fans who have been locked out of their longtime accounts from Bubba (who is one of the most prolific posters all over the USA Forums) on down to people who hardly ever post or sign in here.

And yeah the spammers are still here...so so much for the new login procedure correcting that. Their email addresses need to be BANNED

I had no trouble........put in E-MAIL address with the signon I used with Oldgoalie52......said "INCORRECT"........clicked "FORGOT PASSWORD?"..(I didn't forget it as I didn't know I had one in the first place).....got message....."PASSWORD E-MAILED TO YOU"....checked my E-MAIL and got the 6 digit number which was now my password.....put in E-MAIL address and password and got on.......

I emailed my email provider maybe USA is putting something in their emails that my email provider is blocking. That's all I can think of, so I am hoping that will fix it, but they want a copy of what USA is getting in the rejection letter. Well USA isn't answering any PMs or Emails. So I can't get a new password. So I had to get a new screen name with Yahoo. So I am waiting to see if Bellsouth can do anything. By the end of the week I will try and request a new password again and see if it goes through. So it seems it has to do with something USA is putting in there emails. Some email providers must be blocking it, But why is USA saying your correct password is wrong in the first place.

It's a good idea in theory, but they're never the same. I'm on a few of those other boards too, and the problem is they just don't get enough new people on a regular basis to keep it interesting. It's always the same people with the same opinions til they mostly don't bother expressing them anymore. Three of the others I'm on haven't even commented on Vanishing Act yet, and here we're up to what, 9 pages?

And where is the crazy cauliflower vs green bean throwdown that gets us all riled up from time to time? Nowhere else! Is that any way to live?

My true feelings are if we don't declare the GREEN BEAN as the official vegetable of the USA LOCI FORUM I may have leave altogether........(and not only because the CRAZY CAULIFLOWER gives me awful gas but because as a kid I was scared by a CAULIFLOWER...it was such a traumatic experience that I can't elaborate on it at this time but will at a future date).

You guys are making me laugh so hard! Good thing I'm all alone at my mother's house--not even her dog is here to look at me like I'm a lunatic. Last night I started laughing at my dinner (again, good thing I was all alone). I had made scrambled eggs with sauteed green beans, and sour dough toast. One of my favorite meals. I think it's a variation of eggs and cactus (oh, what is the Spanish word for cactus? I've totally forgotten), which I love in a breakfast burrito. But I've never cooked with cactus and I'm a little intimitaded by it in the grocery store. even though the Hispanic women I work with have told me how easy it is to prepare it. Maybe I'll start with the canned stuff first.

Oh, and FM, I'll take the cauliflower and cheese casserole. I LOVE that combination. Broccoli goes well with cheese, too. And I'm not scared of cauliflower. Now, brussel sprouts--those are scary!

And back on topic--C'MON USA! You don't want to lose any of these witty, sparkling conversationalists, do you?

That's because they won't invite new people. The one Andy was on they only wanted their old buddies from this board; an elite group. We know for a fact a lady found the site and registered. She got grilled by admin as to how she found the place. Admin thought she reminded her of someone she had 'butted heads with' here. Said it didn't matter, then admin proceeded to knock her off the board, too. Fortunately, Andy got her on our forum ahead of time and she and her husband have turned out to be good friends. Even two of her teenage daughters now post. If you can tell I'm angry by the way Andy got treated there, you're very observant!


I love green beans!!! They are my favorite veggie!! Love cauliflower and cheese and broccoli and cheese.

I am adding my name to the angry. I had all I can stand and can't stand no more. I have been lurking since this upgrade went into effect and I cannot just sit back and watch anymore. It's driving me insane. I want my name, my posts and my PM's back that I no longer have access to. I too tried to get in after the upgrade and they said my email was attached to an NBC user name that I had eons ago and they wanted that password. Well I asked for a forgotten password several times in several days and never got one. I gave up and signed up for another email address and here I am. I didn't WANT another email address but in order to do this, I guess I NEED another email address. I even tried emailing NBC Admin to get the forgotten password and they didn't even help. Even friends here (thanks Judy and Spook) emailed and PM'd Admin to get me help and that didn't work. I think 5 days was long enough withdrawal for me. I need to speak. No more lurking.

I'm in I think, it took a while but I finally got logged in, I had to wade through a list of new passwords but when one finally got in I went to my controls I changed the one they sent me for my old original one. what a mix-up, hope it stays, a little afraid to log out in case I can't get back in and have to go through all that again. anyone else having trouble just keep trying and when they give you a password that gets accepted just do what I did and get your original password back.

Welcome back Cifan! So I wonder if people who have a screen name on the NBC board are the ones running into problems. I signed up over there a while back, but I think I only posted once. Now I'm even more scared of the day I will have to log on. I think I need some more Triple Chocolate Cheesecake.

You may have issues. I think HelloBobby ran into the same problem but she got a password, I didn't. She also got her old NBC user name. I was afraid of what mine was if I ever got a password, I looked and it was svucj70. Not bad but not great. Can I join you in that cheesecake? Got any tacos?

This is total craziness.....the "problem" that was supposed to be fixed never was, seeing as how 2 spammers managed to get threads on!
Had to get a new password, since the one I was using was considered invalid, even though I KNEW the one I was using was right. And now I'm really afraid to log out.

I hope admin gets this fixed, otherwise this board may end up losing a LOT of loyal users.

Ok, add me into the having problems logging in! I tried to log in at work and it was a no go. First my email address/password was invalid. Then when I tried to do the lost password thing, it said my email address couldn't be found. Yet, if I try to register with my email address, it says I'm already registered under that email!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Just how am I suppose to keep up with the boards, and keep my own sanity, if I can't take my 10 minute board break at work!!!!

Nobody better kick MY dogs..I kick back! I don't see much improvement with the new system. I cannot get the font, bold, color...to work now either. And, I DID not log out....my internet explorer was froze. And I mean completely, ruined. We had to unistall it completely and then reinstall it. I lost lots of my computer into. Are we sure this whole site didn't get spammed??? Is this REALLY our USA board...or did someone sneak in and take it over?

I sent for a new password, they sent me 4 emails with all different number passwords. I picked one and came back here and tried to use that to log in. Then I got an error message saying my email wasn't valid, which was THE email they send the passwords to! Then I tried to re-register...but they said my email was already taken! Well no sh*t! It was taken by ME!!! I had to go to windows live and create a new email addy, which I will never use...just to come back here and get in again.


The KimberlyET is just my name from before, with my middle name added, lol. Gad to know people know who I am....:0)
I am a veggie lover too...my fav is steamed green beans. After steaming, take a dab of butter and some worchestershire sauce and then sauteed the beans a bit in that....mmmmmmmm!!!!
