Yeah, I was hoping for a gratuitous shirtless scene in the last episode we watched, just so I could start up that thread for us (where we analyze at length Michael's marvelous and sinewy upper body), lol! Did you see that link fotojenic provided us JD-aholics at the support group thread the other day? The compilation of shirtless moments from the last season? Yowza!!!

I can't believe this is a topic on the forum. State it inconspicuously in a thread but not blatant. This is beginning to look like a high school forum. Yes, I want a shirtless scene but at this point everyone is just going to have to wait it out. If it actually happens. And there is only ONE PERSON TO ASK.. and I guarantee his answer will be a mock with a smile.

Lulu, please loosen it up a little. This forum is big enough for topics of both intelligent discussions as well as shallow observations.
Yes, the lack of shirtless scenes is seriously disappointing to this loyal BN viewer.

I know everybody wants the scenes, I do too, but some of the topics have already been discussed and can be put into the same threads instead of new ones. I get it. I'm not trying to be pissy about it, it's just with the same comments thrown into a new topic, I think they can just be put on an old thread that has already discussed it. Ok, so maybe the heat is getting to me. carry on then.

As for JD himself - I’m like, 99.99997% certain that JD will NEVER end up on this forum (or on any other forum, for that matter). I’ve read the interviews with him where he’s revealed that he doesn’t like to read reviews or critiques of his work, watch other television shows, and blah-blah, in part because he doesn’t want to be influenced by anything. I think this is why he stands out in a crowd of Hollywood poseur types - because he’s authentic and actually living his own life rather than reading about it. To be honest with you, I was feeling a little apprehensive about the upcoming season of BN because I thought, oh man - what if this has changed JD (or Matt Nix, for that matter)? What if JD starts buying into this whole “I’m hot and I’m a god” thing and begins to preen before the camera? That would completely suck for me. Seriously, guys - if JD starts caring about what other people say or how he appears to everyone else, it’ll break my heart. [Thus far he seems unfazed by the success of the show, so that's a good sign from my point of view.]

That is what I thought about him after Touching Evil, But I can say at this point. Jeffrey more than likely won't ever go that Hollywood external rectal opening route. He simply has way too much class for that BS. As for reading the boards. Ummmmm. I am sure he will in time but would never say he has only then everyone else would jump on the bandwagon moreso to get a reaction out of him. Also, slightly so is why he doesn't do television interviews and after having watched actor James Denton be slammed on a daytime show (of which I believe he walked out on), probably sealed the deal NOT to do a television talk show, mainly in New York.
Case in point... James Denton did the talk show with newbie Wendy williams (no idea who this thing/person is) and questioned asked was... "Does your wife walk around naked in front of your kids". His response was to get up and walk off the set... That would have been the perfect time for him to respond with "are you a man or a woman? since the persons sex is in question. And yes, people are that vile on talk shows in New York.

All Talk Shows are NOT like that one. Actually I wonder what was the purpose of that question? Anyway, it's a double edged sword. Your show/movie needs publicity, so you are pretty much forced to do interviews or run the risk of having no one see your work. BTW, I don't know who Wendy Williams or James Denton is. So, I hope he doesn't plan to avoid all talk shows.

You're right, not all talk shows are like that. But many in New York are. they sometimes edit them if not live. They do it for a shock value more than anything. It's sad though. And yes, most actors do the talk show route for movies, tv or just because they are in town.

Is there a video of this Wendy William's interview of James Denton? I did a google of both and did not find any report that said he walked out on the interview. Actually you are confusing her with someone else. Wendy Williams of the radio shock jock/talk show fame is NOT a tranny. She's appears to just be an obnoxious person. The porn star Wendy Williams is white; while the shock jock Wendy is African American.

Uh, i am confused too. I saw the clip on BestWeekEver the joke show where they make fun of things during the week of tv. They were busting her Wendy Williams(who has a radio show & a column in a magazine-and wrote a book) for saying the question and disrespecting someone she invited. They cut the clip very short but referenced that he walked out - maybe he didnt and that was part of the joke..ehh ... i dont know? anyway yes i hear ya not all talk shows are like that I agree. Alot are very respectful. I wish the BN cast would do some of those if they were allowed to- to give them an even bigger audience!!! They deserve it. ... and back to the
shirt of this thread... pretty much any costume or lack there of - is fine by me ... it is the crazy smile/look that both Mr. Donovan and Mr. Campbell give that have me hooked (along with fantastic writing ...) any added missing warddrobe bonus is great too!!

Alas, I am woefully inept with technology. I have deep and abiding respect for people who know what they're doing in this regard. I myself have also been told I have the gift of gab (I'm fairly certain this wasn't always a compliment, lol). I was an English kinda person rather than a drama person (I read that interview someone posted at some point, about how JD said in high school he opted to perform the Shakespeare scene rather than write a paper - I was always the opposite). I have had friends who have worked in local theatre companies in varying capacities all my life (actors make the best game night players for stuff like charades, while the set designer people are best for Win, Lose, or Draw sorts of games). English and Theatre majors are drawn to each other like moths to a flame (a mutual love affair with language and storytelling and yep, the old gift of gab thing)...

Well, I use a Mac too. With a Mac you can use the Preview application to grab any image and create a gif or jpeg. Once you do that you can upload the file to create your avatar. Let me know if you want to be able to create animated gifs. You would have to have a quicktime video of the media you'd like to use to create the animated gif. There are a number of applications that you can use to convert to the correct format to create the gif.
Let me know if you want to know how. My family always say I give more details than they really want so, I'll understand if your eyes cross right now and you move on to another post.

LGia19, when I first read what you said here, the very first thing I thought of was that scene with Michael in the last episode - when Sam is trying to convince Michael to take Sophia's case so that he can impress Veronica, and he says something to the effect of, "Mike, you wouldn't believe the things Veronica can do to me" and Michael does that funny little hand gesture and closes his eyes and has that look on his face like, "too much information! too much information!" Michael used this little gesture on his mom when she told him that Virgil (the boat repo guy in trouble with the Jamaicans and the dirty cops) was in her bedroom, not the guest room. I'm thinking that's the gesture I'd insert into this conversation at this point if I were talking about this in person, lol!!

Yeah, I'd love to know how to do that. I know I've got the quicktime video software. Should I head over to the "animated gifs" thread and you can fill me in on things over there?

Ha Ha.. you cracked me up. Ya I often think of Mike's/Sam's response ....sometimes they slip out... like i will shout out DamnStraightSkippy... ha... sorry Didnt mean to freak you out.. but I was freaked out by it and kinda of... uh.. isnt there an expression "share dont scare" ... i think i committed that. ha. again sorry .. but uh thanks for making me laugh. ohh or WhoaNelly! Ha

This split second of Michael dressing up the suit should be counted no more than a half shirtless scene.
So, JD, at least 15 and a half to go.

As a big Bruce Lee fan, and not at all gay or nuthin', I say Michael NEEDS more shirtless scenes.

How about a half shirtless plus a fourth? There was that little bit of shoulder & chest when he's reclined on the grass talking with the Pakastani guy and then that flash moment when he's suiting up in his loft. Come on...enough with the tease already!!! LOL

I just sort of assumed that no one from the BN cast or crew was reading anything that was said over here. Am I wrong on that count? Uh, what do you mean by Matt Nix and "the others" relaying messages? *self-conscious look* *pausing* Wait - is the actor who plays Barry the Money Launderer here reading this??? *LOL*
As for JD himself - I'm like, 99.99997% certain that JD will NEVER end up on this forum (or on any other forum, for that matter). I've read the interviews with him where he's revealed that he doesn't like to read reviews or critiques of his work, watch other television shows, and blah-blah, in part because he doesn't want to be influenced by anything. I think this is why he stands out in a crowd of Hollywood poseur types - because he's authentic and actually living his own life rather than reading about it. To be honest with you, I was feeling a little apprehensive about the upcoming season of BN because I thought, oh man - what if this has changed JD (or Matt Nix, for that matter)? What if JD starts buying into this whole "I'm hot and I'm a god" thing and begins to preen before the camera? That would completely suck for me. Seriously, guys - if JD starts caring about what other people say or how he appears to everyone else, it'll break my heart. [Thus far he seems unfazed by the success of the show, so that's a good sign from my point of view.]

Matt Nix regularly views the board, and will sometimes exchange messages with some of the fans who post to him. He's very busy, obviously, but evidently thinks that we fans are important enough to care what we think about his show and pays attention to us accordingly. He's a good guy and a man of his word.

I heart Matt Nix in a *big* big way! I was thinking there should be a Matt Nix-aholics support group here on the forum, but it would mostly be a lot of gushing over that big, beautiful brain of his (rather than pics of him shirtless and sexy, lol). Yep, I love Matt Nix for his mind - brains and wit, a lethally sexy combination!

I change my mind. I can do that. I say we get Jeffrey and exploit his body. Have him strip down to a pair of boxers running around the loft, without the sandals sans SHIRT of course.

Probably have to chain him down and force him to eat yogurt.

There were only 2 teaser scenes with a partially shirtless Mike. I'm getting a bit ticked now!!!! Where are our shirtless scenes?

Come on Matt, you don't want the important part of the show's quality slip this much! 3 full episodes have gone by with a bonifide shirtless scene. A large portion of your demo audience can't be too pleased.
