Good news...you won't have to wait until next summer. Burn Notice is split in two this season, with its second half airing in January. So it will just be a matter of months until you get your next BC fix after the summer's season finale!

Oh, and Bubba? You are quick. The new episode descriptions only make me want to wish the next week away even faster. You are evil!!

I am going to want more after the summer episodes, so I guess the winter episodes will make me smile.

I hope more people watch the series - maybe this split season will help the ratings and keep the show going on and on.....it might also be good for the actors, etc.....

I can't decide which way I like it. It will be nice to have something to look forward to in January, but at the same time BN is such a summer show. I guess it's better than having to wait months to see new eps again though. Yeah I am so decisive.

Did any one notice in the clip where Mikey is picking up Fi in the night club and he slaps her on the bum? I wanna see what Fi's reaction will be after that.

I read in the TV guide that Fiona flirts herself into a "seriously dangerous situation" just to give Michael some kind of secret code. I think Michael may be "saving" her. (Even though we know she doesn't need saving. "Broken Rules")

I did like the last scene with Michael and Madeline. At the very end there you could see that no matter how irritating she can be that at heart she does love her son and wants him to be happy.

There's that scene that's always been in the lead-in or whatever you call it when Michael has this look of being confounded and he looks just like Madeline. Then last episode, they both were in those hideous white-framed sunglasses. Tonight, it was there, too. Wonder if this is something conscious. It's a neat trick if it is.

Loved the show, but was mystified by the rating-SV. Caught the violence, but were there sexual situations I missed? Have to admit, I thought something would come of Michael carrying Fi off the dance floor. Funny, some of the "previews" we saw last week didn't materialize. Davis,"I don't mind mixin' business with pleasure", wasn't in the show. Well, LOVED it anyway.

Yes! Virgil, Veronica, Nate... the whole gang should be invited to Madeline's next poker party - then let the chaos ensue. FUN!
Yes, there were some great moments in the previews that didn't make the epi cut *sad* but they've only got 42minutes - I guess we'll take more scenes where we can get them! (*cough* dvd outtakes *cough*)
SV rating - hmm, that is peculiar - well, i guess the nightclub scenes: dancing, Fi's hands all over Zeke & Michael carrying her off could warrant a rating. These networks are soo tame.
hey, that is kinda cool if Maddie & Michael are looking like each other - aw, family!
Overall, I LOVED this episode. It was soo funny. Kudos to the writers!
Because I roll like that, here's my lil list of my favorite moments in Episode 2.3 "Trust Me":
(by the way – everytime I see this epi title, all I can think of is Westen’s fantastic line from Epi 1.8 Wanted Man: “…and then you'd have to deal with Fiona, who put me in touch with you. More trouble than it's worth, trust me.”
1. Michael (exasperated again re: Fi): “She was never my girlfriend, Sam.”
2. Sam creating a distraction at the Pakistani Consulate = hilarious!
Sam: “Ain’t nothing gonna be on those ‘Looms, sugarlips!”
Sam: “This is baloney! …This is my regular speaking voice…”
2. Fi at Madeline’s poker party! More please!
3. Michael & Madeline: luv it!
Madeline: “Your girlfriends getting creamed.”
Michael: “She’s not my girlfriend.”
Mom: “Okay, honey, whatever you say.”
Michael: “Yeah, thing is – “
Mom: “What?”
Michael: “Yeah, we’re not, uh – well we’re still working together - but the other part that’s -- uh, we closed the door on that.”
Mom: “Why do you always do this?”
Michael: “I didn’t do it this time – she did it (changing topic) Let’s play poker!”
4. Fi: “You owe me.”
Michael: “I gave you the car!”
Fi: “You owe me more than that.”
5. Diane the Client (as Michael walks in): Phyllis said you were handsome…”
Fi: “And he’s single too – can you believe that?!”
6. Michael & the Cat!
7. Michael and Fi at Club:
Fi (scoping dance floor): “Oh, look at her! And her! I bet she’d be fun!”
Michael: “Are you shopping for me or for you?”
Fi: “You are gonna have to get back out there sooner or later.”
Michael (pointing to back room): “No, what I have to do is get back there.”
(Fi dances off to entice Zeke)
Michael: “Just – just don’t work too hard!”
8. Fi’s British accent!
9. Fi: “Zeke is smoothe, too – in a cheesy Sam kind of way.”
Sam: “Hey, smooth is smooth, baby.”
Fi:”We need Zeke’s key card.”
Sam: “Can’t you lift it, Sticky Fingers?”
10. Michael (walking in on Loan Shark thugs): “Guys, guys – wife beater – so not a good look.”
11. Cat Fancy magazine as a weapon = hilarious!
12. Michael (intruding on picnic): “Wassup, Waseem!?”
Waseem (to girl): “Meet my friend – “
Michael: “Mr. Inconsiderate – I should’ve brought a fruit salad.”
13. Mom at the Loft = more please!
14. At Club, Fi: “Why don’t you boys stop playing with eachother and… (puts keycard back)… play with me instead!?”
15. Michael:”I’m putting ears on this thing – put your phone on mute."
Sam: “Aw, Mike! You’re tying up my cell? How’s Veronica supposed to get in touch with me?!”
Michael: “Tell her to try the bar at Carlito’s.”
16. Yogurt spotted!!!
17. Chuck! Charles Finlay is back! Go Sam!
18. Fi’s Trouble Trouble Trouble tee is back! Go Fi!
19. The fact that Sam & Michael have to keep spelling things out for Andy the Client = hilarious!
20. BARRY!!!! Nuff said.
21. Michael: “Come on, You’ve never written a bad check? You were called Bad Check Barry.”
22. Fi & Sam obliterating the “FBI” car with a machine gun
23. Sweet closing shot of the sweet sweet Charger
* Bonus points: nice touch ending the epi with the same car side mirror that Michael had in the garage at the start
most excellent. i can't wait for next week! but man, summer is going too fast already!

FloridaRealtor, thought of you tonight when Mikey picked up the Cat Fancy magazine...

As for the similarities you've noticed between Michael & Madeline, thought that maybe they've been cued to pick up on each other's facial expressions & body language, or have just picked it up on their own being the great actors they are. There was a scene tonight where I thought Madeline's facial expression was a lot like Michael's -- the scene where they were at the sink together at the end of the ep and Madeline pats Michael's face, then shakes her head with an amused smile. He does a similar action often with the head shake/wry smile.
Loved the ep tonight!!! The Fi/Madeline talk, the Michael/Madeline conversations, the scam run on Zeke, and Sam in the consulate. Enjoyed the use of split screens during the consulate scene, too.

Not my favorite episode. A little hard to believe that somebody could be that gullible for $200k, and that the loan shark would just walk away. Liked the other subplot with the Pakistani consulate. The Southern accent sounded a little off.
Not a bad episode, just not great.

Yeah, I loved this episode.. I am with you guys... it just keeps
getting better and better...
Loved the whole beginning in the consulate with Sam and his "regular speaking voice". & -"you are mocking me" too funny.
Loved all the madeline-michael scenes very cute.
The cat magazine as a weapon -I also thought uh-oh FloridaRealtor is gonna flip.
Heehee.. the cats were adorable though.
Andy not getting anything they were saying!
Fi and Michael in the club very funny.
And Sam
AGAIN as Chuck Finley very funny... & the shoot em up scene with Fi.
The writers rock they know what works and keep getting better. (thanks Natasha

NatashaFatale...great highlights of the episode. There really were some wonderful scenes. The cat did crack me up, especially when Mike jumped to go talk outside. LOL
As I continue to get hooked on this show, I'm getting a little nervous. I was a HUGE fan of Alias. Once she brought down SD-6, the show wasn't as awesome. Part of that was also due to JJ Abrams going on to bigger things, so the writing started to get lame. I don't want that to happen with BN...so producer/writer guys, stay with the show. LOL
I hate to see MW find out who Carla is and then things fizzle. I don't want to see them rush the show/storylines in any way. I like they don't have Fi & MW as a couple. By keeping them longing for each other, it makes for better TV. I'll be more likely to tune in hoping they'll hook up. I hope there will be many more layers to BN.

I think Carla is just another link in the chain, but I get the feeling it won't be as easy to get rid of her as it was with Agent Bly.
I like it too that Fi and Mike aren't a couple....they do care about each other and that is obvious. Last night's show just made me think that Michael is in denial about the whole relationship!! He keeps saying "she's not my girlfriend" or "she was never my girlfriend" but he wants her to be, he just won't admit it!! As for Fi, I kind of see her playing a different angle with him. She made it really obvious in the first season that she wanted to be in a relationship with him and now she is the one telling him it can't work. Some men never seem to want or appreciate what they have when they have it, but when you tell them they can't have it, they want it all the more...even if they won't admit it!!! I can see Madeline playing Mom-The-Matchmaker now!

Guys, when the employees at the Pakistani consulate said to Sam, "Please, sir, lower your voice," upon which Sam drops his voice an octave lower and says, "I am now lowering my voice" - I was laughing so hard tears were streaming down my face!!

Bruce Campbell ROCKS!!!!!
Here are a few first impressions, as alas I am on the run this morning and won't be able to post my usual 500 word essay on BN (which I'm sure comes as a relief to many who read this board, actually *ahem*) --
Michael confronting the loan shark and seeing him standing in the doorway with that Cat Fancy magazine... I was still giggling about that moment this morning. *lol* I loved seeing Fi at Madeline's poker game. And I loved all the scenes between Michael and Fiona - boy, she really zinged him quite a number of times in this episode. I thought the scene where she says they need to create a cover in order to "con the con artist" and that it needed to be a fool and she knew exactly who was meant to play the role...and you could see Sam in the background smiling and getting ready to take on the assignment, when Fi quickly turns around and volunteers Michael. Yowza! I also thought all the scenes with Madeline and Michael were terrific. These two actors working together...all I can say is, wow. *shakes head in awe* Their scenes are such a joy for me to watch, as they are almost always filled with revelation (about each of their characters respectively).
Finally - I felt immense relief at not having to see Carla in this episode. And I was very heartened to see Michael get some background info on her past. Michael's inability to get any leverage against Carla was *really* bothering me in the first two episodes of season 2, even more than I'd initially thought actually (given how much better I feel about the direction of the story-line now that I've seen ep. 3).

fav parts:
Michael tries to sneak in his mom's house and she bust him. I had childhood flashbacks.LOL!
Remember when Fi nominated Michael for the job and they went outside. Fi told him the reason she was taking the job. I think she hurt his feeelings

. Well played by both actors.
I think Michael was getting a little jealous at the club b/c Fi was having such a good time with Zeke. Where do they get the names? LOL!
the Cat magazine fight...hilarious!
Wasseem and Michael spy dance....Loved all the scenes.
My boy Barry is too cool. It is time for Barry to have his own storyline. Mike owes him a lot of favors.

This was byfar one of my favorite episodes of the series. It was dang near perfect!
I'm going to mention a few things that have already been said, but thats only to emphasize how good they were...
One thing that I don't think was mentioned was the scene where Michael and Fi are outside talking to Andy and they both sit down at the exact same time, and cross their arms the exact same way, at the same time. I thought it was perfect! I just loved it. It really shows how much they are alike, and how perfect they are for each other. And also that they knew exactly what the other was thinking. Nicely done.
Another great moment was definitely Sam at the consulate. He had me crackin' up. Where would Michael be without his friends? Great way to start the episode.
Definitely loved the Michael/Mom moments, and the Fiona/Mom moments. I really like that Fiona can be over at Madeline's house without Michael being there. They've formed such a close bond that they can just hang out for a reason other than Michael. I love that Madeline is so invested in not only her son's life, but his relationships as well. She truly wants him to be as happy as he can. I also liked the part when Madeline was first confronting Michael about his relationship with Fi and he said "She did it this time, not me," almost like he was upset that Fiona did it, and that he didn't really want it to end. Thought that was great.
Also like when Fi says Michael owes her more, that he doesn't argue. He knows what he did and how much it hurt her. Nice touch.
"Wassup Wassem"... nuff said lol
Loved the nightclub stuff! Loved that Fi was the one who really made stuff happen, and that she got to have an accent of her own. Michael was so jealous, it was great. Loved the new character Davis too. Both parts very well played by JD and GA. Loved the return of Chuck. Bruce is great.
And of course, its always fun to see a con get conned. Just loved the storyline overall.
Great episode! Great b-day present!
