I need your opinion on something I've got re a character of mine. I've given Eames a boyfriend. His name is Harry. (Shut up, shippers!) Anyway, the way they get together is, in a bad mood, he calls her by her first name, she suggests sexual harrassment in a kind of joking way, and really pissed off, he Adrian Brody's her.

Now, I've always liked how Brody kissed Barry. But she's a cop, she might see it as a quasi-rape, and though I've tweaked it a few times, I'm just not sure she'd go for that. What do you think?

I don't get the reference to Adrian Brody, Unsteady. But if you think she might think of it as quasi-rape, she probably would. Eames seems very no-nonsense to me. I can see her joking about sexual harassment if the situation obviously isn't--but I don't see her taking anything that really does smack of sexual harassment. Did that make sense?

I am not familar with the Adrian Brody reference either, but I can't see Eames being too thrilled with a guy kissing her when she is pissed.

I dunno, I've always thought it was hawt. But I'm not Eames. Maybe my scene doesn't work.

Who is in a bad mood, Eames or Harry? Yeah, nothing pisses me off more than being called by my first name!

Harry's in a bad mood. He, I dunno, does or says something innocent, she makes a light joke about sexual harrassment, and he, in his bad humor, decides, if he's going to be accused of that, he might as well enjoy himself and earn a reputation.

I'll confess, it's based on a scene from the Simpsons. I love that show.

It seems out of character for Eames to make light of anything that could be deemed sexual harrassment. Especially as it's the way they hook up. Maybe, possibly, jokingly after they've been together for a while, but other than that, I don't see it.

Not a good reputation for a man to have. Either from anger or frustration.

But I love the Simpsons!

Rule #1, keep characters in character. If you want to introduce Harry as a lead, then tell us why we would like Harry! Just because he likes Eames, doesn't mean we like Harry. Give us some meat!

Maybe we should have a character question thread . So we could ask, what would seem real for the character to do? Like would Goren make a move on a girl he is attracted to if she had a boyfriend.
