Listened to this over and over tonight (thank god for DVR's)

I have some lyrics and oddly for the first time ever when i googled them, i got nothing so i will put it out there to everone.

"So i'm leavin for memphis watch me go, leavin for memphis where the mississippi flows"

more lyrics were ""it takes good strong courage"

and "moved here from a tennessee town with a suitcase and a promise"

This song played while Mary was sitting with her boyfreind on the couch (when her sister came over and interupted them)

Hopefully someone will be able to find what i could not. i am usually pretty good to tracking this stuff down but this one has me searching in vain.

I think this may be an unknown artist of orginal music for the show. I wish we could contact the Music director for the show. I would love to get ahold of this song.

The entire reason I am on this site was because I also have been trying to figure out the song artist and the best I could get out of google was your post. I can't believe that no song credits are given anywhere for the music on the show. Maybe, like Grey's Anatomy, they plan to issue a CD of music from the show?? In the meantime I have been looking up all the newer folk-type artists without much luck...at first I thought it was Brandi Carlisle but don't think so anymore...
