LOVED this epi. Bobby was having so much fun, and Eames was enjoying her partner have fun. But man,
Spoiler:
What he said about trust issues . . . I said "How dare you?" several times. Is he on the money here, or is she over it? Does anyone here find Eames angry?
Spoiler:
When Bobby found christopher Lloyd in the dollhouse, I said, "How did you do that?"
Yes, yes, much talking to my television tonight. I'm not crazy, I swear. Well, crazy for LOCI maybe.

Yeah lenore, I noticed that, too. It was pretty tense between Eames and Goren
there for a second. For a minute there I thought that Bobby was going to address

That was a classic aria! And Goren and Eames were working it together PERFECTLY! So happy to see them in sync. Yes, there are still issues that haven't been resolved and I'm sure we'll be hearing more about it, but they were at their best as a team tonight. I'm a happy camper and this is going to be one of my favorite all-time episodes.
Just one thing--maybe I'm just slow. How did he get the body to Coney Island, back stage (I mean, there had to be someone working there, right?), and into that box without anyone seeing? I know he's a magician, but to lug a dead body around? I'm not getting it.

Maybe this is my RN training that's making me ask this....if Stone had in a central line for the IV fluid, why wasn't the insertion site shown? Depending on the type, it could be in the clavicle area (collarbone), or it could be in an arm (PICC line). It didn't look like the sword blades were in him that high.
Kinda disappointed Rodgers didn't notice an IV site like that, they're bigger than a typical IV. At least she could admit when she was wrong. As pfchristine says, just sayin.
And no Ross "visiting" Rodgers just when MCS detectives are there? Makes you wonder....

I didn't see any signs of the central line, either. And that reminds me of another question. The nurse started the central line--but why? I thought that they said he was getting IV fluids while he was "buried"--before it was revealed he wasn't actually down there. But if that was supposed to be part of the act, wouldn't a doctor have come in to insert the central line? Why did they need to get a nurse to do it on the QT? And if he was supposed to be getting IV fluids while he was "buried", how were they supposedly changing the bags?

I noticed at the end, she was playing with the props, too. She loved it when he did the "body in half" trick. Really enjoyed seeing them having fun together, smiling, sharing those knowing looks again. I DO NOT like him looking so puffy and heavy. He still needs to work on losing weight before his knee/leg/whatever starts acting up again. And, please SHAVE!!! I don't mind the 5 o'clock shadow look on him, but the grey scraggly beard really makes him look much older. TOO much older, imo.

Spoiler:
Well, if she was a burn unit nurse, she may have picked up enough technique to perform the insertion. Maybe they couldn't get a doctor to start the line in case of liability issues. I've assisted at several central line insertions--basically by passing items needed. Actually I thought they'd pursue the postassium angle more---potassium vials were pulled off nursng units about 10 years ago, when I still worked in the hospital. Nurses used to add potassium to IVs if it was needed but now it's pharmacists doing it, due to liability issues. And it's not hard to change the IV bags--the main thing is to clamp the tubing before changing bags in case of air embolus.
sorry, had to modify my post....for some reason what I'd written wouldn't stay as a spoiler. True, maybe they couldn't fit all of that in a 40-45 minute show, but there's things that kind of jarred with me, basically the medical. Otherwise, great show tonight.

I hate posting twice in a row, but the midnight re-airing is starting soon.
1. Has anyone noticed that in the opening credits when the music is playing, there is a shot of Bobby standing on the church pew after he used the patrolman to boost himself up, anyways, they have fuzzied out the face of the officer. Only VDO is visible in the shot. I have never notice it before. The young cop is sometimes on SVU now.
2. The dead magician looked like Sanjaya from American Idol.
3. Chris Lloyd did look like Abe Vigoda.
4. The technicial gal with the casket has been on a Logan/Wheeler episode before, she was hitting on Wheeler.
5. Beard looked hot fully grown in. Enough of the wardrobe. I swear he was wearing the same 2 outfits throught the show. Eames had that God-awful leather jacket too.
6. He was straddeling a chair several times, so HOT.

I thought this was a very fun and entertaining episode. Too late to say much
Spoiler:
That betrayal stuff as others have said was a very broad statement and there aren't many people who have never been betrayed. He was reading them and pushing their buttons the same way Goren does. He admitted that he was a fake and knew how to read people. I imagine by then he knew something of Goren's rep as a profiler and that is why he brought up that case (I can't remember the guy's name) from the '50s.
Eames brought Bobby coffee LMBO and she didn't seem to mind. It was nice to see them having fun and laughing.

i am sometimes but not in this episode which i didn't see. These stories probably seem less subtantial because we had better episodes last season , meaning season 6 and somehow a bit different because more drama had been added . Now they didn't followed the narrative as they had left it the previous season , they just tried to satisfy everyone , changing the formula of the show . this is just an opinion , i might be mistaken ....

I have a DVD recorder, too. And I've been recording each episode on tape downstairs and on DVD upstairs--because, well, just in case one of them messes up. On the one upstairs I can also record from VHS to DVD or the other way around. But I've discovered that the picture quality is much better if I record directly from TV to the DVD.

I have to say that overall I haven't been disappointed. There are some episodes from this season and last that just don't "do it" for me. But in every season there have been one or two episodes that I didn't particularly care for. There has been a shift in the focus of the show the last two seasons, and at times the procedural stuff has suffered. But mostly I'm happy. And especially with this episode. I loved it! There are a couple of things I didn't really understand, but I have to watch it a few more times before I can say whether I just missed it or the writers just didn't address it. I don't know if anyone thought it was obvious who the murderer was--I leave those kind of critiques to smarter brains than mine. But I have to say that getting there was fast-paced, interesting, and just plain fun!

Did anyone notice that Goren deferred and did not blurt out his theory until Ross noticed and asked him? I think that the "water carrier" remark is being addressed without a blatant showing. I also liked that when all three looked at the file, Goren did not ask for it from Eames, in fact he waited and gestured to get it from Ross.

I really liked this episode. It was so nice to see them smiling at one another again and just acting as a team. The tension between them from the past few eps just seem to gone.. until that bloody magician decided to play profiler on Bobby and Alex. GRRRRRR!!!!!! Nice to see Christopher Lloyd on tv again. Just something that struck me as odd, but when Bobby said at the end "you're under arrest" I don't know I had to do a double take. I'm so used to Eames saying that. Loved it when the magician put his hands to be handcuffed in front of him and Bobby said 'oh no, we learned our lesson from last time' and handcuffed him behind his back. So many good things about this ep. Too bad you can't watch it online.

Good catch, Teach! I noticed that he waited to be asked, but I didn't catch the bit with the file. I guess I'll just have to watch it again. And again.
I think that Eames and Ross are noticing his efforts to "get along", and I think that they both appreciate it. Except for that uncomfortable "reading" from the magician, Eames was more relaxed. It's nice to see them in tune and playing off one another so well.

the most fun I've had watching a G/E episode in a long time.

I, too, really liked this episode. It seemed fun as well as an interesting case. I kept wondering exactly how the body got to the side show and who did it. And I LOVED that our favorite team was back. Bobby spilling the water on the other officer and playing with the magic props while talking was SO classis Bobby. And I loved how he was directing all of his joy at Alex. It was like he wanted her to come and play. For me, it was almost like it was his way of trying to heal the rift between them. I did notice, however, that even after the one guy - whose name I am blanking out on - kept bringing up the "betrayal", they still seemed to work together as a team. Yet, I also noticed that they really seemed to adress each other by name. Maybe I just missed it.
Oh, is is just me or did Rogers' hair look a little better? It looks like they added some low lights to it which warmed up her face a little. Of course, it could have just been the lighting.
