Hey guys, it's time to take a look @ one of the most controversial moments in the history of Pro Wrestling:

8 years ago today at WCW's Bash @ the Beach 2000 Vince Russo (a former writer for WWE Attitude) shoots on Hulk Hogan about the WCW World Heavyweight Championship after Hogan was forced to lay down for Jeff Jarrett:

Here's what he said, and BTW this is edited:

"There's only one way for me to do this, and that's to tell it like it is. Three week's ago I left WCW (pause) Three week's ago I left WCW, and quite frankly I didn't know if I was going to come back. And the reason I didn't know if I was going to come back or not was because from day one that I've been in WCW, I've done nothing, nothing, but deal with the B.S. of the politics behind that curtain. The fact of the matter is, I've got a wife, I've got three kids at home and I really don't need this mess. But let me tell you the reason why I did come back. I came back for everyone of the guys in that locker room that week in, week out bust their butts for WCW. I came back for the Booker T's, I came back for every single guy in MIA, I came back for the animals, I came back for Jarrett, I came back for the guys behind that curtain that give a crap about this company. And let me tell you who doesn't give a crap about this company. That no good politician Hulk Hogan. Cause let me tell you people what happened out here earlier in the ring. All day I've been playing politics with Hulk Hogan, cause Hulk Hogan wants to play his creative control card. And to Hulk Hogan that meant tonight in the middle of this ring, even though he knew it was B.S., he beats Jeff Jarrett. Well guess what, Hogan got his wish. Hogan got his belt, and he went home and I promise everybody or I will go in the gosh dern grave, you will never see that piece of garbage again! But I also sat out there with the people just like you. I know you paid good to come here tonight, no one is going to be ripped off here tonight. So Hulk Hogan now has the WCW Belt. Now Hulk lets refer to that belt as 'The Hulk Hogan Memorial Belt' cause from here on in that belt don't mean crap! Because there will be a new WCW belt and as far as I'm concerned that belt still belongs to the one guy that busts his tail week in and week out and you people can love him or hate him, but he doesn't mess up anyone back there, and that's Jeff Jarrett. Now wait a minute. Jeff Jarrett is still the official WCW Champion, but he will defend that title in this ring tonight. And he will defend that title against that son of a gun back there that for fourteen years has busted his butt in WCW but can't get a gosh dern break because of the Hulk Hogan, and I am talking about Booker T. Booker T. and Jeff Jarrett are the two reasons I am in this dang business to begin with. So tonight in this ring, two deserving guys, Jarrett and Booker, will compete for the WCW Title. And Hogan you big bald son of a gun, KISS MY BUTT!"

However, Hulk Hogan's Attorneys told WCW that they were not to mention Hulk Hogan's name on WCW Television.

After that, Hulk Hogan filed a lawsuit against Vince Russo for Defamation of Character, Russo claims the whole thing was a work (with both Hogan and Bischoff in on the deal). Hogan claims (in his autobiography, "Hulkamania") that Russo made it a shoot; but accused then-WCW head Brad Siegel of double-crossing him.

and years after that Hulk Hogan's lawsuit was dismissed.

in 2002, Vince Russo went to NWA-TNA as the DOA, but left in 2004 when Dusty Rhodes became the DOA at TNA's 1st 3 hr. PPV Victory Road, and in 2006 up to now, Vince Russo is back in TNA once again, this time as a booker and he says that he has no plans to come back to the camera.

He is also a Born Again Christian

and as for Hulk Hogan, he is the Host of the All-New American Gladiators on NBC alongside former Boxer Laila Ali, he is also starting a new Wrestling Show on CMT w/his close friend Eric Bischoff and Hogan is also in the headlines along with his family, he has also joined the list of infamous people alongside Micheal Jackson, Whitney Houston, Brittney Spears and British Jazz Singer Amy Winehouse.

and that's your look back @ an event that is 7 years in the making:

Hi Bubba here, I agree with what Russio said back then, Hogan has had his time, now it was time for newer and fresher talent to shine.
