Hey all

I just watched the first half of season 6 whiched ended with Numb.

At the start of the season i thought this season was much better then the previous 2 season but after watched up to episode 7 'Numb' i hav this bad feeling that is making me dislike this season as well and i think i no what that is causing it.

There is to much Johnny solving murders or would be murders. Apart from Heritage and Re-Entry all the rest have been Johnny either solving murders or helping some one that is going to be murdered.

Where as the first 3 seasons was, yes some episodes with a murder theme to it but also episodes where Johnny is helping people with medical decisions i.e Playing God, Quality of Life and episode bout his family i.e The House or helping finding a missing person or people with delemas but now its just johny fighting crime. And yes the writers make these episodes in an abstract i.e numb and still life but they are still murder mistories.

And i no many people like this direction of Johnny helping with murders but it just gets old and quiet boring and i dont no how shows like that keep on getting re-newed like CSIs and Law and Orders, its just the same old story just told a different way.

But enough bitching, i found some good points in this season as well.

Like the whole family arc with John, Sarah and JJ that is quiet interesting espically JJ having visions that could be cool to explore and i really liked the episode Big Top (even though it was another murder mistery) just the semetry with JJ playing the wheel. That was cool. And the whole thing bout Walts death how John new bout it b4 it happen that could make for an interesting scene if Sarah finds out about it

And also the new sheriff, how johnny has to convince her about his visions rather then getting a free pass like he use to get with Walt.

And finally bout the investigation into Walt, even though at this point i dont no what its about that his an interesting area that could make for some good episodes that i know are coming.

Well thats my thoughts anyway and looking forward to watching the rest of the season with hopefully little to no more murder mistery episdes

Hi Bubba here, I kinda miss some of the aspects of the earlier seasons as well. But, I really like seeing JJ and Johnny becoming closer with their gift. Happy watching the rest of season six.

Glad you're enjoying the last season. smile.gif It has its good and bad eps.

My biggest problems with season 6 were Sheriff Turner and the rapid development of John and Sarah's romance so soon after Walt's death. I just feel that Sarah's character wasn't developed in the best light in this season. :/ But Nicole De Boer was awesome portraying what she was given.

Q: How did this series explain, how Johnny came back to life??? blink.gif
If you'll remember, this character actually DIED in the movie version!! sad.gif (Christopher Walken played Johnny)

Walken's character (Johnny) uncovered the presidential candidate to be unstable and therefore exposed him!!

Unfortunately... Johnny was killed in this movie version!!

TV series The Dead Zone has nothing to do with the movie The Dead Zone. The series is made after the book The Dead Zone by Stephen King but only took some bits of it and made it their own.
Also the series is not a sequel to the movie.
So the series does not have to explain how Johnny came alive since Johnny never died in the series, but was in a coma for 6 years.

Great you should mention that fact (Christopher Walken's: Johnny) was also in a comma for 6 years too!! blink.gif

And although this series as you say isn't based on the movie... it certainly had various aspects, that did parallel the movie version! Johnny (tv version) walked with a cane... the character from the movie did too!! blink.gif But that's okay... wink.gif

I said it wrong, the series is based on the book and partially on the movie, but other then that it has nothing in common with the book or movie. They took bits here and there from both the book and movie and other then that created their own universe. It's not an exact copy of the book or movie, nore is it a sequel so as I said, there is no explanation about how Johnny came to live in the series, since he never died.
