I know I can count on my fellow Monk buddies to send along some good vibes tomorrow. My mother has to have major surgery. She has a low hemoglobin count so that is a concern to her doctor but I know if I get enough good karma and prayers from my Monk family that won't become an issue and mom will come through with no difficulties whatsoever.

Any word yet on how your mother's doing?

Morning everyone. Thank you all for your prayers and good vibes. Mom made it through. She had a couple of difficulties and because of it the surgery took longer than expected. Her doctor looked like he had gone through battle when he came in to talk to us. She was in a lot of pain last night and the nurse put me in charge of her morphine drip. She'll be in the hospital until at least Thursday night, maybe Friday depending on how she is doing. It was tough but she made it.

My mother wants me to convey her thanks to all of you for the prayers and well wishes. Her exact words were "that's so sweet your Monk people took time to think about me, I love Monk". She was a little drugged so that may have partially been the morphine talking.
