well, since we are approaching season 10 and since theyre going to start filming here in the middle of july, i think they would have atleast discussed it by now, so does anyone know?? did they lengthen it, or is it staying the way it is, if so, than this is their last season

I seriously doubt MH will. I know she want's to do comedy, plus the demands of the job keeps the away from their family alot and MH said she wanted another child so......CM I'm not sure

M/C are signed on through season 10. I don't think new negotiations for actors involving seasons 11 and 12 will even start until the middle of next year. Probably after the holiday season we will start to hear about contract negotiations through the media.

I seriously hope that they don't. I think stretching out the series any longer with MH and CM in the lead will be like a bad Sequel.

I do think it would be interesting to see one of them sign on for another year. That could actually work. Because they could ween us onto a new lead detective and new story lines. It could also leave us with some seriously awesome EO!

I thought that after season 10 SVU is going to be over. If there would be a possibility that it could continue, I don't think Chris and Mariska would continue. TPTB will have to choose new actors and the show might not survive. We will simply have to wait and see what happens.

Yes it's dangerous to sign for new years contract for both and even just for one of both...writers and new actor have to be really good !
Storylines have to be strong, and not repeating some before. I love the show but the worse that could arrive would be to fail into the end of the show!
I'll be sad at the end of the show but if the shows ends with a good storyline, I won't be deceived. CM and MH and other actors spent a lot of time for this show and if now they prefer to focus on their family, that's good!

than i want it to end in season 10 i dont want CM and MH leave and than they try to keep the show alive, cuz they wont, it wont work, they should end the show when its at its peak, the best rated show on NBC or something like that, you dont want it to carry on like the original, cuz it was way better back than and now, its not as good as it used to be, we dont want SVU to end 5 yrs from now and everyone who started watching like 2 yrs from now only know it as a bad show
