Hey guys, here's an event that is 10 years in the making:

Goldberg beats Scott Hall and wins the WCW World Heavyweight Championship from Hollywood Hulk Hogan.

Nobody could have stopped what happened in the Georgia Dome on Monday Nitro on this night.

Here's what happend:

Goldberg who was the WCW U.S. Heavyweight Champion defended the belt against Scott Hall (an opponent made by Hogan and Eric Bischoff), but just when the nWo Hollywood express was going to come out and interfere, out came DDP and Karl Malone to prevent that from happening.

But just when Scott Hall was about to go for his trademark Razor's Edge, Goldberg blocked it and then delivered the spear and the jackhammer and pinned Scott Hall to retain his U.S. Heavyweight Championship.

Later that night....

The crowd was behind Goldberg, and with each moment, the tension of the building grew between him and Hogan, but during the match, Curt Hennig was about to interfere, but then, Karl Malone w/DDP gave Hennig the Diamond Cutter and then Goldberg delivered the spear to Hogan.

When Goldberg successfully attempted the Jackhammer to defeat Hogan, the roof of the Georgia Dome shook as the crowd exploded.

and afterwards, Goldberg @ age 31 walked out of the arena w/both WCW Heavyweight Belts.

The U.S. Heavyweight Title in 1 hand, and the World Heavyweight Title in another hand.

Goldberg dominated the ring in front of 40,000 fans in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

and that's your look @ a moment from 10 years ago today:

Goldberg def. Scott Hall and Hollywood Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

and plus, later that night, Goldberg vacated the WCW U.S. Heavyweight Championship.
