I thought we might voice our ideas about what particular subjects / issues / questions we want resolved, answered and / or developed in the novels that will be published. For example:
What is the catastrophe??
*read that with a lot of four letter expletives!*
Let's start a list, comments are welcomed & encouraged above or below the numbered list.
1. What is the catastrophe in the future?

How the world responds to Promise City, and how Tom, Diana, and the rest of NTAC fit into what's going on in the city. Perhaps how long until it turns into the presumed walled city. What triggers the catastrophe. If Collier is still pushing for everyone to take the shot so the entire world population would be P+, and not just ones who passed Burkhoff's test.
I'm sure people will come up with more interesting ones as well. Either way, I'm very excited about the books, not only at the opportunity to continue the story, but that through the books they can bring back characters that may not have fit into the budget if they so choose.

Hi Bubba here, good idea for a thread. Bout time we get back to discussing something about the show.

Thanks Bubba

Good suggestions, David. But I think it will be easier if any person of influence reads this thread to keep it in a list:
1. What is the catastrophe in the future & what triggers it?
2. How the world responds to Promise City, and how Tom, Diana, and the rest of NTAC fit into what's going on in the city? How long until it turns into the presumed walled city?
3. Is Collier is still pushing for everyone to take the shot so the entire world population would be P+, and not just ones who passed Burkhoff's test?

Question #7 is a good one - but IIRC, in the book itself didn't it just say the "father"? I only ask because I remember specifically noticing that and thinking: They're all assuming that it means God, but couldn't it also mean Kevin Burkoff (the 'father' of the 4400 technology) or Richard Tyler (the 'father' of Isabelle)? Anyway, that was just one of my thoughts. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong though.

My thoughts exactly. It could even mean Kyle's father, Tom. The Prophecy goes:
"When the chosen have taken the elixir
and proved their faith in the Messiah.
Then all will follow in their wake.
Only then will the Father reveal his true face.
And Paradise and the world will be as one".I think God is a red herring.

Definitely think the father they are referring to could be Tom, and his true face being whether or not he takes the shot. Going back to the season finale, if all who were chosen took the shot, and Seattle and its people rejoicing over the P+'s after they save the city from Danny, hence all following in their wake.

Perhaps it would've turned out that Jordan was a Messaiah so to speak in order for some one else to emerge as the Father......such as a leader of TPFTF who originally decided to abduct/alter/reseed the 4400 people.
Hope that makes sense

I wondered if the fulfillment of prophecy would finally reveal why these Future people have been messing with Tom and family from day one. They say Maia was the first person taken but what if what happen with Kyle and Shawn was first. These people are time traveler so they could have taken people in any order. Maia could have been the last one taken she just seem first cause she the farthest back in time. Notice there's a Baldwin in the major factions in this story.
P.S. Tell I think to much?

Okay here's my question...
#10. What happened to all the people who seemed to have disappeared? Well, we know for one the future took Alana back, but I'd like to know where she' s gone and if she'll ever return. And I don't like the way they just shoved Jarvis off to the side and not explain where the heck she went. I really, really wanna know what happened to her... Whether it be they explain she died, or she moved away from everything, or even if she had a baby... Something... Something to give some of these characters some kind of closure... That's just me though... Anyone else want to tie into my question?

I been thinking again about the future people and I believe the ones responsible for The 4400 and the Marked group are all one people in the Walled City. They all believe the human race is dying out but one group thinks it will be total extinction and the other believe they will survive and come out the better. So the 4400 group decided to take action and the other Marked group only took action because of the other's interference. Neither group can care less about us in this time. If destroying Seattle would accomplish what the want, that Ball of light probably would have struck like a meteor.
I think Jordan is trying to stop those people from coming to be. But unfortunately his own nature is getting in the way. Enter Kyle, number 1 unaware patsy for the future people, who is in a position to influence the most valuable players and derail their plans if it runs counter to the future's needs.
I still trying to figure out their action toward Tom. Barring that he's their long-lost love child, why the kid-glove treatment. They go out of their way using psychology to direct his actions. Causing harm to those he love seem to be their main way.
I think anything the Future says is suspect. And I think they specifically chose what abilities to give the 4400.
Qusetion: I am right in my assessment?

Well June, we may never find out if your theory is "right", but you do make a very interesting point. It's also very possible since the people in the city - the "elite" seem to be the only ones left in the future who would have access to such technology/resources. It sounded as if the people outside the city are basically 'homeless' for lack of a better term.
I believe that it may have turned out that Kevin Burkoff ends up being the one who abducts/creates/reseeds the 4400 people. That would've made a terrific time-loop story in my opinion. Especially with Tess being one of the original abductees - Kevin was not.

Books can give you sometimes more closure. They can go with storylines and situations that they could not do on TV. I enjoy Star Trek books more than the shows sometimes. They can go farther into background stories. I think it is wonderful that we are still going to have the 4400 at all. The 4th season could have been the end...but it's not. As long as fans BUY and read the books....it will continue. Star Trek lasted 3 seasons......and it's still going strong..think about it.

7. What does the face of "god" mean?
8. Do the 4400 really save the future? Is it better that the P+'s are in charge, as our favorite little precog declared?
9. Why was Sarah wanting to destroy Isabelle when in fact Isabelle destroyed the The Marked (Sarah's enemies)? In other words, do the ones who took the 4400 have a clue???
10. What happened to all the people who seemed to have disappeared?
11. Will Diana ever get an ability? (I know she's not currently supposed to be able to, but look at what happened to Isabelle who supposedly lost her abilities permanently.)
12. Who chose those specific 4400 people & why them?
13. How did The 4400 develop their abilities - were they designed by TPFTF or did they develop 'naturally' (for lack of a better term) like the P+ people?
14. Is Jordan marked? Also, is he going to be able to accomplish the task of taking out the marked? (I think the plan of Jordan taking the list of the marked to eliminate them when he was in the process of being marked holds an oppurtunity for an interesting plot line.)
15. What exactly are all of the new abilities and how exactly do they work? For example: Meghan's ability.
16. Who else got an ability and what is it? What about Ryland, Nina or that jerk from Washington who held Kyle at NTAC (forget his name).....where are they and did they survive the outbreak/get an ability?
17. How would Tom react if Alana was back?
18. Why were Richard and Lily sent back? What purpose did they have?
19. What ever happened to the plot of Shawn killing Richard or a cathastrophe happening?
20. Does Diana actually marry Ben as Maia predicted? If so, how does that happen?
21. What happens to Kevin & Tess now that she's healthy/sane/etc.? How does that relationship develop?
22. Do Meghan & Tom continue to see each other now that they've been through the Marked situation (considering that Meghan initially wanted their thing to be just casual)
23. Who or what is Cassie??????? What's her agenda?
24. Whoever created The Marked technology: why did they choose those particular "host subjects" - Imroth, Rebecca, Matthew, misc. world leaders - to carry out their plan?
25. Was there a significance to exactly 4,400 people being abducted?
26. What the heck was that "kill switch" the Marked put into Isabelle & how did that work?
27. If Isabelle had ultimate powers, couldn't she just kill the nanonytes (sp?) in the Marked? instead of killing the host (Rebecca)? Surely she was more powerful than plutonium.
28. Did Richard die and if so, how?
