I've only recently started watching CI seriously. And now I find myself hooked. I had hoped to find transcripts somewhere to get caught up on the storyline, but found myself hopelessly depressed when all of my searches turned up nothing. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Anyway, I have decided to take the matter into my own hands. So far I've only transcribed one episode. My site is www.blackfire.angelcities.com/LOCI You can just peruze or you can send me any transcripts you have made and would like to share, my info is on the page.

I'm hoping I'm not doing anything wrong on this forum, if so humblest apologies. Well, that's all for now...

That seems like a lot of work. If you want to catch up on the storyline, why don't you watch the reruns?
confushisushi
Well, I am. The point is that reruns take a while to get back around. And also I want to do this if someone has a question about an episode, haven't seen it in a while and are a bit hazy, or missed it and wonder how something fits in. Also if a few different people are working on it, it won't take as long. Yeah, it's a lot of work, but I don't really have anything else pressing to do, lol.

Hi Bubba here, I will check out your transcript later. Good luck with it. smile.gif

It's an amazing discovery, isn't it? Quite an ambitious undertaking to transcript all the episodes. There used to be a site that had script pages posted, but that was taken down awhile ago - I've never seen any complete transcripts or scripts online.
I tried your link, but it didn't work. sad.gif

Good luck with your project. Keep us updated on your progress. A warm welcome to the show and the board!

True, Eames rulezzzz, but Goren ROX! biggrin.gif

I love stuff like this! I try to get as many scripts as I can. I have 3 scripts from CI, and of Vdo's movies I have Full Metal Jacket, Naked Tango--mental block here, maybe one more. I also have the books to TWWW, Salt On Our Skin (Desire) Crooked Hearts, Thumbsucker, and a book about someone watching Detective Goren on TV (kind of mingling real life and fantasy), and a book on the making of FMJ. Reason I do this is because when I like something, I like to know ALL the details--the stuff they couldn't fit in the movie/show or cut for some reason. Because, even though it didn't make it into the final cut, to my mind, it happened, plus you get a lot more information.

Anyway, I'd be very interested in your transcripts.

Yeah, Goren Rox!!!!

See I am the opposite, If I don't see it on screen or if they don't mention it, it didn't happen, just like Eames and Goren, If I don't see them bonking or kissing it never happened. I am stubborn that way, lol,

don't know if it help, but there are several sites where you can find text (from close-caption) of each episodes...then you have just to add characters' name for each lines and check the accuracy during re-run. Here a link on one I know http://www.seriessub.com/sous-titres/law_and_order_ci/ , choose a season then a file with VO in the title.

Ok, I agree with that 100% because there is nothing to indicate that (insert subject) is going on. But when you read the script or book, you know the writer's intent, and know that it is what the creator had in mind for the character. So, I go along with that. Sometimes, too, it works the opposite--it can ruin the image you already have of the character. But I gotta go with what the creator of the character says. Just my thoughts on it!

I couldn't get that to open up. sad.gif

It's a cheapy site, so links don't work. But you can either copy and paste the URL into a new window or type it in manually. And I'm glad that at least some people will find this helpful. And hopefully I won't have to do every episode, as you've said, and get some submissions from other people instead. Well hope everyone's having a good 4th of july weekend, whether it's a holiday or not biggrin.gif

I have several transcripts up now. Thanks Daz for that link. I don't know if the subs will really save time, since the format is weird and there's a lot of deleting and pasting to be done, but it's nice to know that they're out there.
