I don't know, I thought Noth looked awful. His hair was dyed, so were his eyebrows, and it looked like he was very heavily bronzed/made up. He's not my idea of a leading man, anyway, but last night he looked more like a nightmare than a dreamboat. His face is much too old for him not to have any gray at all in his hair. And before anyone says it, it was definitely NOT my TV.

I much prefer Bobby'a au naturale look ----

Speaking of eyebrows, now I can't remember which man it was, but Noth was talking with some guy and this guy's left eyebrow was about twice the width as the right one. Sorry.....I should go through the eppy again to see who it was, but it was so positively obvious.

hehe --the exchange between Ross and Rogers was totally laden with subtext. I love Rogers

I bet Ross is doing major kiss-up right now to get back into Rodgers' good graces.....really would like to see Rodgers' character expanded a bit more.

I liked that they gave Wheeler more to do in this episode.

Okay so I saw two hints of "ripped from the headlines" in this episodes.

First, the boys in Thailand that Jordi was accused of sleeping with? Gary Glitter (famous song: "Rock and Roll Part 1") who got busted for child porn on his computer, and is currently serving time in Vietnam for molesting Vietnamese children

Second, Jordi's excuse that he was writing a "Rock Opera"? That's Peter Townshend (of The Who fame), who was also busted on child pornography charges, but was let go because he was in fact looking at the images for research into the rock opera "Wire and Glass".

Very observant! I realized the Pete Townsend part, but had forgotten about Gary Glitter. Do you know Quaxo, is The Who's "Endless Wire" the "Wire and Glass"? I'm curious.

Spoiler:
That chick seriously needs to stop killing people over her "men". I think she heard that Tammy Wynette song and totally took it the wrong way.

Singing the chorus, right along with you! Stand by your man....

QUOTE (pfchristine @ Jul 14 2008, 09:12 AM) *
Well I sure can't judge her for it. For about 4 seconds I was thinking "c'mon Wheeler, knock the stars out of your eyes". Then I thought to myself... ya sure... would I be even half as coherant if someone sent me in to question Sting or Bono? Um... I'd be lucky if the drool didn't pool on the floor... lol.

Oh yeah, give me Sting, or Bono, but most of all give me VDO or give me a blank TV screen! lol

Yes, "Wire and Glass" is on "Endless Wire", it starts around "Sound Round". There's also a novel that Townshend wrote and published on his blog, but has since taken down (pm me if you want a copy). "Wire and Glass" specifically has a character who finds pornographic photos of himself as a child on the internet. There's been rumors (and Townshend's hinted) that he himself may have been molested, and that he repressed it for decades.

I'm a bit of a Who nerd since my "thesis project" involved turning "Wire and Glass" into a stageable version.

Also interesting, Gary Glitter was a part of the touring production of The Who's Quadrophrenia

Janice told Goren and Eames that Frank's wife had misunderstood, that she and Frank had picked up food at Toniollo's

That made me laugh, too. I have a combination VCR/DVD player for both TVs, but only the one upstairs records on DVD. So I use both. I'm behind the times, too.

Well, I have to agree with Bobby. Sal's better, or maybe he only likes how the waitress takes the order.

In the show? Falacci when to the FBI or something and Wheeler came back from a case she was working in Europe.

In reality, Alicia was only ever supposed to be a half season replacement while Julianne was on maternity leave.

I have to admit, I still say "I'll tape" even when I'm using my Tivo....and with the collection I have, they'd better not stop making them for a long while (at least the combo versions, so I can record one to the other!)

Re Alicia and Wheeler....still trying to get comfortable with the latter, I really liked the former....can't have everything I guess.....unless of course they bring in the former to replace the unmentioned when/if the unthinkable happens.....

Ok, I'm not even sure if I made any sense.....can someone please tell me what I was talking about wink.gif

Do you want Wheeler and Fallacci to be teamed together?

I really liked this episode, the end wasn't something I saw totally coming, but I didn't really like the wife since I saw her (but then it seemed sterotypical that he would marry a former groupie). Oh, and I do still use VCR's, so I can join the old school club. I really loved Logan kicking down the door, and his line about not being tempted to shoot the lawyer, quite funny. It was interesting to see Wheeler trying to stand up for the rocker, and take your hands off your wife was awesome. I totally think something is going on with Rodgers. I haven't seen her look that intently at something/someone for quite a while. Maybe she was surprised that Ross actually walked over the file himself.

Okay.

Spoiler:
It was good--nice to see Jordi wasn't the killer but how many times have we seen the jealous s.o. as the killer? And as soon as they mentioned mom, son, and getting upset over a piece of paper, I suspected Jordi was the father.

I just haven't been as . . . excited by these past couple of episodes, my beloved G/E included. Maybe I'm missing the angst but I dunno, it seems something's not there.

Also, Christopher Lloyd in the next episode! OMG!!! I literally yelled out loud when I saw him. I am totally psyched to see him next week.

I wonder if Vince had more fun with this new episode, coming up, since he said he was into magic tricks?

Spoiler:
What, you mean the Geordie/Milo thing? Even if it had been the case... that's pediphilia, not homosexuality. Gay men have relationships with men, not boys.

Have you been watching a little SVU?? I remember that from that show. And you are perfectly right.

Haha, loved this scrrreeeeammm, thing, funny! Wheeler was on leave...now shes back.

I liked this epi. I thought I had it totally figured out...but then it wasn't quite what I thought when it came to the ending. I could have seen this one being a Goren-Eames epi, with the whole father / son thing going on. I liked Wheelers sticking to her guns, about protecting the rock star she liked. The fact that he was accused, didn't make her instantly think he was guilty...and she tried to protect him a bit even when the others were dissing him. With all the strife famous people can get...and the publicity, it was nice to see her stand by her convictions about him.
