AMEN --- And these are Elliott and Olivia epis, which IMHO makes it worse - now, Fin and Munch, I could live with --

And what was with the CI marathons in June, where they'd run 6 CI episodes, and then SVU leading up to the new Ci epi?? What, they have an agreement where they have to give them equal time? If they do, CI is coming out on the short end of THAT stick !!!!

I know... I like Fin and Munch much better too.... especially Munch.

My theory about playing SVU before the new eppys is that they are trying to grab on-the-fence viewers. They know CI fans are going to know when it's on and tune in. But if they play SVU as a lead in, there is a good chance they might stick around for a new CI. Then hopefully the SVU and CI people will stay and build an audience for the new show In Plain Sight.

Strategic stacking.

I have been watching Homicide Life of the streets because of Munch, I love him. Oh and Bayliss.

Yeah, I think you're right. Although, viewers could get sick of SVU half way through it and turn it off and then miss CI. But then again, if they're really CI fans they wouldn't miss it. My poor old mind is rambling again. Too long without a new CI.

ONE HOUR AND TWENTY TWO MINUTES!!!!!

It's so funny how they crossed over characters from there and L&O. I thought HLOTS would be more serious, but it's actually very funny.

Since the party thread is dead, and ciaddict is here, I'm gonna have a little party here...14 minutes!

I'm southern born and raised, and I can't stand grits. They're icky, imo.

WORD!

lrt28
Nine minutes till showtime!

Spoiler:
I hate the flashback thing. I guess it's to show that he had a lot of possible killers. Still, it's not L&O that I remember.

Okay, I'm sorry. I forgive the flashbacks. Bigfoot? Thank you, whoever thought of that.
Mogirl
Eames REALLY enjoyed hanging Bobby out as bait like that -- LOLOLOLOLOL !!!!

VDO seems to have a cold --- his voice is kinda rough ---
lrt28
I don't know about the cold thing, but I know he looks great! smile.gif

Spoiler:
Why the heck didn't Bobby crush Marlane when her husband was out of room? WTF?
unsteady
Spoiler:
Man, at first I thought Eames was consigning Goren to danger to save her own hide. I should have known she had a plan. I should have known she had Bobby's back.
ciaddict
OK, I missed a bit at the beginning so I'll have to watch it again. But that aria was Bobby at his best!
pfchristine
Hot Damn..... great episode!!! Classic Goren & Eames teamwork... and he looked sooo good. I'm just so used to him on the edge of falling apart... it was great to see him on his "A" game again.

Spoiler:
And that whole thing with Eames setting him up the the closeted Craigs-lister. To funny!

And it was grits...

AubieDaubie
I have to admit, I was a little non-plussed by this episode.

Spoiler:
Why is it Bobby always takes charge in the hostage situation? I would have thought with a woman and a mother, it would have made more sense for Eames to talk Marla down. I dunno, maybe Goren has experience in hostage negotiations.

All in all, 7/10.
sweetsherry08
Spoiler:
Wow.....did you see the way Bobby slammed her up against the wall at the end. And then he looked like he felt guilty for it. Whoa.....
janpop4
Good episode, not great imho.

Spoiler:
I thought the aria was too much like 'Siren Call'. I actually thought Marla was gonna commit suicide and then it woulda been 'Siren Call' kinda. Thank God Bobby stopped her. Still I thought it was too much like it. The plot was good though.

I got a little undercover too. Not together, Bobby only and Alex's line was perfect. "I'll make sure you're a match" or something like that. Great line.
Bubba_Bridges
Hi Bubba here, it was an okay episode. Wasn't all that great to me IMO.
omerta3
I give the episode an 8/10. I think the best G/E of this second half of the season so far.

Did anyone else see the X-Files trailer after the episode?

I think in a hostage situation, you always send your best negotiator in. That's Goren. No one talks down an unhindged gunman like he does. Just like Eames is always the one to shoot first when that's what's needed. She's the better shot. I think when there are lives on the line, it can't be like Little League where you make sure everyone gets a chance to play.

Yes I found that a little over the top, yes she was a murderer, but she had given herself up, and given up her gun. Kinda made him look like a bully for this big guy to slam her up against the wall, but I liked her saying "I thought you were my friend" and Then him saying "Well they had kids too" she left three kids without one of their parents, well one kid with no parent at all.

Also loved the Bigfoot reference, I wish he would have gone down for his reward then, flashed his badge, lol. Must say I really enjoyed this episode.

Oh even liked Ross' comment, "Well my grandkids won't be attending," Or something like that.

Looks like Wheeler has a crush on some rocker next week, looks like she was gazing.

The Aria made me laugh, cause that other poster was saying the victims got forgotten and I said its not like they could say this was for______

Well it was almost like it,when he slammed her against the wall and then said, Well they had childen, he was doing just that. lol. I would almost think the writers had been reading what I said, but that was taped in November, lol.

Spoiler:
I was actually kind of waiting for that. When he didn't do it immediately when he got the gun, I thought "hey, she's still a murderer who was just holding a bunch of toddlers and adults at gunpoint... even if she is the size of a 14 year old." When he did pin her he still did it with a lot less force than he did in the past, just enough to immobilize her. I think it's also a safety issue for all concerned. If he called "clear" and she'd lunged for something, she didn't have the gun but she could still injure herself or someone else or gotten herself shot by the police rushing in.

Bobby is back!!! I liked the line in the beginning when Bobby said to the man when they were looking at the computer: "You can go now..." or something like that... I love it when Bobby does that.....

Spoiler:
I was freaking out ohmy.gif when Marla put the gun to her head.................. I totally thought she was going to pull the trigger.... I'm glad she didn't... Bobby doesn't need more angst in his life by witnessing that.....

Spoiler:
I'll give it a good not great too. It was great to see G/E "playing" to set up that other married guy to meet Big Foot lol-I also noted the "size 9 W" that is a shoe size no? Not a thirteen but when my husband, who says I brainwashed him, heard Bobby called "Big Foot" he started asking about that darn titan missle LOL!
Bobby actually smiled a few times and no angst between Bobby and Alex!-loved that!!!

I agree with that. Nice break from them fighting. I sure needed that. I haven't really been paying attention to the last couple because of it. This one I paid more attention to but not fully only because of the 'Siren Call' reminder.

lol! I'm not sure why I found that so amusing Jryan but I did! But as I said before something is wrong with the Canadian station, they are under the impression that we are going to watch "Vanishing Act" come Thursday.

Anyways in Answer to your question the west coast will be half way through right now, and anyone without Cable will of course not of seen it yet.

This episode sounds really good, I can't wait to see it!

when Goren went to meet the Guy from the Online encounter with the first victim, Goren's online name was Bigfoot. The guy was married but seening men on the side, so Eames arranged Goren to meet the guy,(set up Goren on a date with the guy)

Also I so wanted it to be the Mother in law.
