I'm now that 4400 usually starts in July but I just see the encore date. Is that it or did I allready miss the season. If I did I'm going to be pissed off.

I regret to inform you that as of December 22, 2007 the break through network original series The 4400 was cancelled by USA Network President Bonnie Hammer. We did not receive any official word from the studio, but found out in a post on these boards by show writer Scott Peters. The post was verified by show writer Amy Berg as well as messages posted on the actors websites and/or myspace pages (Jaqui Mackenzi & Jeff Combs to name a couple).

Welcome to the board and don't despair! Have you heard about "The 4400 being continued in book format? Check out this thread: http://forums.usanetwork.com/index.php?showtopic=401443

I'm sorry, June, but thinking back on it, a book series is a crappy consolation prize...

I thought that way once also. But I discovered I had an amazing ability. I can see the story played out in my head when I read. And the worst thing I can imagine is to be left hanging. Never knowing what happens next. Besides if the fans all buy the books might we not get that TV conclusion? Look at "Alienation", got canceled, went to book series then 3 two-hour TV movies.

It all comes down to "Better than nothing" methinks.
