That's nice of you to forgive them so easily. But the way I look at it, your closest friends and family shouldn't ever forget, no matter how busy they are. Unless they received a concussion and suffered from temporary amnesia, but really how often does that happen in real life?
It's a matter of just knowing them. Sissy is sick, they were suggesting a hysterectamy (sp?) but she weighs like 90 pounds and the doctors dont think she'll wake up from the anesthetic. She got this news with four days of doctor visists in between trips to georgia while she and her husband Harvey run a scrap metal business from home to cover all thier bills and Harvey's Mom's too.
The truth is, I dont know any two people who work harder. And while they're always just making ends meet - it's scary for Sissy to be sick because they are SO perfect together. And Harvey's an untreated Bi-polar with depressive tendancies and delusions of persecution (Held over from real persecution in his youth).
So, really, if they had nothing going on and all thier bills were paid, and they had just been hanging out all week... Then I'd be 'offed' about it, you know?
And when I saw them this morning I didnt mention it, but later I realized I just wanted to be with my friends and celebate a little, so I reminded them and had a good time. I'm sure they'll do something now that they know. But we've been friends for... 14 years?
I guess one day just doensnt matter much compared to all those good and helpful times, you know?
