I know, off the wall, right? But I'm suffering from allergies now and I sneezed one day and it just entered my mind. You never see Adrian Monk sneeze on the show. What would happen if he would have to? I would assume if he could feel it coming it would be like "Gets Sick" or whatever it's called when he has the flu (sneeze into kleenex, put it in two baggies, etc.), but what would happen if a sneeze comes out of the clear blue and he used his hands (hey - we've all done it!) I mean, he was going to light his hand on fire after shaking a leper's hand. What's worse for him - germs or lepers? Interesting to think about......

Hmmmm, I don't see Monk ever sneezing into his hands. I would assume he would sneeze onto the sleeve of his jacket, then he would put on industrial strength rubber gloves to remove the jacket, then he would place the jacket in a hermetically sealed container which in turn he would ship to a biohazard facility to be destroyed.

Yeah, I'm more puzzled by how Monk goes to the bathroom. It must be excruciating. For him. But funny for us.

If Monk felt a sneeze coming on, I think he would sneeze right on Natalie or anyone else around. He would die before he would let that stuff get on him.

I don't think he'd sneeze on anyone else, especially his friends. I think he'd control the sneeze. But, he's got wipes on hand and those will cure anything, so I don't have a problem with just sneezing into a tissue. Not a hanky - those are disgusting.

True story. In "Makes a friend" he couldn't bring himself to say "toilet seat" and he wigged out because the seat was up and made the captain close it with his foot.
Rubber Gloves? I wonder if it's comforting for him to realize that a zipper has an even number of teeth.

I think that in "Stays in bed" he sneezed, if I am not mistaken, twice in front of captain, at the beginning of the episode, when they were at the pizza delivery boy´s car.
First, he sneezed at the floor, and then at Leland. No hands in front of his mouth, no wipes after it.

But at his bed, he was asking Leland to put the used wipe in TWO plastic bags....

Maybe he keeps one of those boxes of latex gloves like doctors use in his bathroom. Use them once and toss it.

That is a good question. I mean he freaks out at the sight of a toilet seat. What to do, What to do???

Maybe Monk has one of those hoses...like the astronaunts use on the shuttle. He is unwilling to use a public bathroom..so couldnt be that far off on this one. I'm sure he has gloves to clean his bathroom after he uses it...he is all about not letting anyone use it other than himself!

Oh I am sure he cleans his bathroom after each use. He also buys new toilet seats and shower heads so that each person has their own. At least that is what he did for the Captain in The Very Old Man...I think that is the right episode. When the Captain moved in with Monk when Leland and Karen were having some problems.

That's right! I couldn't remember which particular episode it was, but I do remember him buying a new shower head. LOL
