Full Version: All just a dream?

Renee Balcer's got a heckuva time revamping the show after Warren Leight's . . . um . . . particular storylines. Don't get me wrong, they've been interesting and edge-of-your-seat, but it's hard to get back to normal after all that. So how's he gonna do it?

What about the old "all just a dream" reveal, at the start of next season? That way, we could press "reset" fairly easily. Also think about this--Bobby Goren coming out of the shower. Not full frontal of course, but still.

I would turn off the television honestly. Screaming. The "it's all a dream" didn't work on St. Elsewhere (although technically it was an autistic kid's dream, but anyway) and I would be so incredibly pissed if they took that route. That's got to be the cheesiest cop out EVER.

Now, I have to say that I <3 the direction that Leight's taken the show. Leight's storylines are why I watch LOCI period. I enjoy the older episodes, but through the reflection of the insight that Leight's direction gives. Before Leight took over I saw SVU, Mothership and LOCI as pretty much interchangable.

I think the back stories we're getting on the characters provides a much more interesting view on the crimes that are committed. I'm not watching for the procedural. If I want to watch procedural there's Mothership and the CSIs, Without A Trace, Cold Case etc. etc. etc. I like my procedural with a bit of humanity and character work, and LOCI provides that.

I think they can still return to the "old school" episodes (for those that like that), because Bobby's not broken. I think he needs to deal with some issues and rumors are that he's going to by the end of the season.

Hi Bubba here, there an old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Just MO. wink.gif

I don't think the show is "broken", but I do want my Robert back, and however Mr. B. can get that accomplished is fine and dandy with me.
