OH I'm being a mopey actor. A stooge. I'm wallowing in my own self pity and my lack of contacts. Ignore me. Point is... I tried real real hard to get an audition, but what can I say----I live in Chicago and I wasn't on One Tree Hill, nor was I on any of those other bad teeny bopper soap dramas that get people roles on cool TV programs like SVU and Heroes. Actually, I've heard from decent sources that OTH wasn't that bad. The commercials reminded me of Dawson's Creek though and I could never turn it on. Shivers...Katie-man-mouth-Holmes.

I'm going to actor hell. Somebody make me a cookie before my Fiona Apple attitude gets me fired from this site.

Oh...and...I was really hoping that Stefanie March would be back. This new chick is just gonna be another Detective Lake. ARG...I'm so tired of that crap. This whole change is sad. It's the equivalent of Phoebe from "Friends" leaving right before the season finale.

Although, they haven't told us this is the last season, I have a feeling it will be. At least for Mar and Chris. BUT- dear god prove me wrong. And give me EO!

She's an ok actor. I used to watch OTH and out of curiosity I sat through minutes of the show last season.

I was hoping that they would make the character a little more experienced and not have someone who is brand new to SVU cases. I dont want to tolerate episodes with the new ADA having breakdowns because the cases are too hard to deal with (we went throught that with Casey). I wanted more of a grab the pervs by the balls type. Any way for some reason I don't see her character getting along with the squad too well.

Hopefully season 10 won't focus too much on her though. I want to get back to the characters that we've grown to love.

Congratulations to her though, this is a big time gig. I hope she does well.

Well...they did meet face to face but Olivia never said "hi I'm Olivia Benson...yes THE Olivia Benson" when she came in to find Dani at her desk in Underbelly. Kathy, however, got the "this is my wife" to Dani though.

I never seen One Tree Hill but talking to my two friends are watch that show as well as SVU, I got conflicting reports: one says she sucks and the other says she loves her so...I'm in limbo here and from her IMdb.com's profile, Michaela hasn't been on much and it seems as though she started to act in films in 2006. Boy, TPTB aren't getting when they said they were looking for an unknown, up-and-coming actress! She's it.

One of my friends is a OTH fan but her character kinda got old after a while. I have seen a few epp's of OTH and it's ok. Just never really got into it.

Well, I don't know if it is just that particular picture but she looks young. It might be kind of creepy if El hits on her. Sort of like hittin' on Maureen. ;-)

I can understand why. Sometimes there are just some people you want to beat up for no reason. Maybe her character will be a spoilt little rich girl? It would certainly be a different slant on it. Or she could just be mediocre.

I'm glad they're going with an unknown. There are so many amazing actors that never get hired because they don't have enough "Main Stream" experience on their resume. And that's crap. You gotta start somewhere.

I know nothing about this chick, but you gotta compare her to Mariska and Chris. They were both pretty unknown when they got on the show. And kind of bad too. Mariska has really upped her acting level ten fold since season one. She used to be all weapy and cry baby and then by season three she was like a butch lesbian. It's really interesting to disect that transition.

well you can see the difference through her acting, but i think they did that on purpose, like in payback, when cragen yelled at her, she jumped, didnt say much and didnt keep eye contact with for more than 2 secs, and kept looking at elliot for some help, so i think the writers and her, did that on purpose since, in fact, she was new to the squad, but also through the years it seems like in season 9 everyone had gotten softer, and they didnt care much about the job, do you guyz know what im saying, like it seems like the job didnt really infect them, like some kid cases, or something but i guess we didnt have much of those to begin with, but for the effects, minus undercover and stuff but other than that, they just did their job and went home, like they were on auto-pilot which i read does happen to some ppl who work too long in SVU, they just stop caring, they say its the only way to do the job

That's true- I have to say that before SVU the only real name I was familiar with was Ice-T despite not listening to his genre of music, especially with Cop Killer. I didn't watch the mothership (I was 9 when it first came on) so I was unfamiliar with Dann, I was also not aware with Oz either although I did use to watch the Dinosaurs but never knew until much much later that Christopher did the voice of Spike (who was a recurring dinosaur on the show). I guess you can say that I was too young to be Richard Belzer's audience of his comedy and work although same with Dann of Richard's Homicide series.

The first season is pretty much on the weak side of acting but I do love the season itself- it was new, it was fresh, and it was never really done before on television. Every first season of every tv show, comedy and drama, are on the weak side, mostly trying to find themselves as character and trying to learn each other's patterns too which is understandable.
I think it's sad that there's a lot of tv shows that were on it's first season but don't last as networks think it doesn't bring in the audience- which I don't think is true. I think there is an audience who haven't discovered the show yet and it takes time. I remember Boy Meets World- I loved that show as a teen but it never entered the top 10, nor the top 20 I don't think? But it struggled and it remained on the air for quite a long time too.

I have pale skin and my natural hair color is dark brown and at the moment i have blond hair for the summer and i'm not see through. lol, just kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But my hair is really blond now.
