It all started when Kane and RVD lost the WWE World Tag Team Titles to La Resistance @ RAW's Bad Blood back in 2003
However, the following night, Kane w/ some motivation from Stone Cold Steve Austin would take out his frustration out on La Resistance, but then, Triple H comes out and offers Kane to join Evolution, but then, Stone Cold who was the co-GM of RAW @ the time would offer Kane a shot @ the World Heavyweight Championship against Triple H.
But to sweeten the pot, Eric Bischoff came out and added another twist, if Kane were to face Triple H, he would have to put his mask on the line.
Meaning, that if Kane won, he keeps the mask and wins the World Heavyweight Championship, however, if he lost, then he would have to take off his mask.
and so, Kane chokeslammed Triple H and the stage was set.

Kane was in control of the match, until Randy Orton came out and interfered and he cost Kane not only the World Heavyweight Championship, but he was also forced to take off his mask.
Thus meaning that the era of Kane Unmasked was just the beginning.
and now, 5 years later Kane is on ECW as the Heavyweight Champion.
During those 5 years of being unmasked Kane has feuded with the likes of RVD, Shane McMahon, Goldberg, Gregory Helms, The Undertaker, Matt Hardy, Gene Snitsky, Christian, Tomko and even Edge.
However @ Taboo Tuesday 2005, Kane teamed up with Big Show and def. Cade & Murdoch for the WWE World Tag Team Championship making them the biggest Tag Team in WWE history to hold the traditional WWE World Tag Team Championship.
However, the night after Wrestlemania 22. Kane & Big Show lost the titles to the Spirit Squad and Kane and Big Show would soon feud w/each other.
and Kane would also feud w/Umaga, but when he lost to Umaga on the RAW Family Reunion in 2006, Kane went to SD! and reunited w/The Undertaker.
He also feuded w/MVP and later The Great Khali
and @ Wrestlemania 24, he def. Chavo Guerrero for the ECW Heavyweight Championship on the very same night The Undertaker won the World Heavyweight Championship.
But tonight, Kane's future could be in some serious jeopardy.
