I've noticed that the Logan/Wheeler/Falacci episodes tend to be not as well written as the Goren/Eames episodes. I'm not saying that there were not any good episodes for example, "Renewal" was pretty good and "Senseless" was also well written but for the most part it seems the Goren/Eames duo get the episodes with more character development and Logan/Wheeler get the more current event episodes that are often both boring and often not that well written. I thought the most recent episode "Contract" was simply terrible, and I'm a big Chris Noth fan!!

I would really like to see a few more episodes where we get to see some actual personality of Wheeler and Logan. The shows are too procedural for those two and what makes it more obivious is when they have an episode like "Purgatory" and follow it up with a crappy episode like "Contract" no wonder there are fewer views of the Logan/Wheeler eps. No wonder Chris Noth is bored with his character!

Okay, I feel better I just had to vent.

Hi Bubba here, I agree with you to a point. They need to bring the ratings up for those episodes. I look forward to seeing the Logan and Wheeler episodes.

Personally I liked Contract a lot. And I think that Logan has had some very well written episodes this season and last season. However, I kinda agree with you that it would be good to see more of Logan and Wheeler's personalities, as long as it's balanced with the procedural because IMO some of the Goran/Eames episodes have had TOO much emphasis on character.

I think that they keep the L/W eps more procdedural so that they do not use the people (like bugtussle) who don't really care about the chracter driven stuff and just want procedural.

I guess there is a grain of truth to that and I am probably biased because I'm not really a fan of the procedural show. I worked for a criminal court for 6 years so I suppose the procedural stuff does not do that much for me. I prefer to see more of the characters and their personalities. I began watching Law and Order CI because I happen to have caught an episode with Chris Noth and I was amazed at how well he played his role and how different his character is from the one he plays on Sex and the City. I think that is the mark of a good actor.

Hasn't Chris Noth said he preferred the old school L&O procedural style? Renewal would be an exception - but hey, everyone's entitled right? LOL. Maybe some of it is the writers writing for the actor - and not the character, while trying to say in character... if that makes any sense.

If Noth likes the procedural style, then so be it. I think the writing has been pretty good lately. As for the writers catering more to the character driven needs of the actor, the reason we had so much of Frances and Frank in season 6 was because VDO wanted to go down that road. Though I agree it can be a hard to find the balance between the procedural (which I like) and the character driven (which is sometimes too soapy).

I have to say I always enjoy the Goren/Eames episodes more. Maybe it's because I have been so loyal to the two of them since 2002. However, this season I have really enjoyed Logan and Wheeler, I just love Logan's body language and personally I really enjoyed the last episode - I thought Logan was incredible. biggrin.gif

I'm very HAPPY that Logan is back with Wheeler. I think they REALLY play off each other well.
