You're welcome, Bubba. I think I identify w/ MST3k because I talk to the screen, too.

This was one of the funniest shows ever made. I used to watch it on Comedy Central all the time and then on SciFi. I just rented one of the DVD's a few weeks ago.

The two hosts have new ways of making fun of movies. Mike Nelson's doing "RiffTrax" and Joel Hodgeson is doing Cinematic Titanic. They're both v.v. funny.

I remember being bummed out when I heard there was going to be a new host but I ended up liking both of them very well. Have you checked out the official website?

I haven't been there for a LONG time - I used to trade tapes, though, which was given the thumbs up by the MST3k 'guys'.

Now I just watch them on YouTube. (Most episodes are there.)

My favorite episode would probably be The Giant Spider Invasion from Season 8. The mileage they get out of the Wisconsin setting ("PACKERS WON THE SUPER BOWL!!!!") and Alan Hale, Jr. as the stock dimwit sheriff ("Professor made a phone out of coconuts?") are timeless and priceless.

Which then begs: how long do you think Monk would last if "they conked him on the noggin and they shot him into space?" My guess would be a little over half an hour at most; while he would appreciate the symetricality of the Satellite of Love and that there's an even number of doors to the theater, he'd likely go very quickly insane given they're very high up and it's dark in the theater, not to mention the extreme effort to wipe Servo's dome spotless at all times, make sure Dr. Forrester's tie's straight when he calls in, and various other discrepencies one would be likely to encounter in that situation.

I am cracking up just trying to imagine Monk living in the MST3K world. I am surprised you gave him a half hour. I would say.. 2 minutes. LOL

You're welcome. I wish I were a MSTie back then. But I think you had to live in Wisconson or Minnisota to go to those things. Well, Thank God For Youtube.

They have episodes. I ordered Prince of Space and Horrors of Spider Island.
