Does any one know if either USA or NBC will ever let any of the LAW & ORDER shows be down loaded so that those who do not have Ipods or Cable, or Satellite at home we can catch up on the any of the show on the computer.

It's maddening when I can't watch L&O:Criminal intent on the computer. Couple of my favorite CBS programs are not downloadable either. Maddening.

Or does anyone know of site where we can catch up on our favorite programs without having to pay an arm and a leg for downloading them.

Hi Bubba here, we can not talk about sites where you can watch shows for free here. The only place I know of is amazon.com

The shows are repeated so often. Surely if you watch the schedule you will find a time when you can see them.

Hi Mara

If I recall correctly Amazon's Unbox service is where you can purchase and download Law & Order: Criminal Intent episodes. NBC Universal used to have a deal with iTunes but now that deal for paid downloads is with Unbox.

As for other options for legally watching CI episodes on your computer, DVDs for the first three seasons of CI are available for purchase...if your computer has a DVD drive you can watch Seasons 1-3 that way with the 'bonus' being you can also watch them on either a portable DVD player or a home TV and DVD set up. And some of the DVD sets come with extras.

Hope this helps

Buy them on amazon, they're only $1.99 per ep. I'm just bummed that seasons 4 & 5 aren't available there.

At least there, you are paying for them. It seems like downloaded them for free takes money out of everyones pockets: actors, writers etc..JMO

You can also watch every episode through season six via streaming video if you are a Netflix subscriber. The quality is excellent and you don't have to fill up your hard drive. They are just there for you whenever as long as you are a suscriber... it comes along free with the movies by mail service.

Really? I've always wondered how. If they want money they should release the DVD boxes. I am not paying amazon 2 bucks and then I'll have to watch the episodes on my tiny 17'' laptop screen!! (plus I can't legally get an amazon unbox account and I've heard a lot of annoying things about them). Let me burn it to a DVD so I can watch it on my big TV with good sound and I'll buy. In Germany we just got the first half!!!! of season one on DVD. The UK has only two seasons out. France has the third season but without English subtitles. My DVD player doesn't read US DVDs and neither does my TV. I have seasons one and two and I'd happily go and buy all the other seasons but if there aren't any I don't see any harm to get episodes from someone who recorded from a TV (since I don't live in the USA I am not the target group for the commercials anyway). I'd never download a movie, though, I'll always wait for the DVD. Or rent it for 1€.
In former times friends in the States would record my favorite show on video tapes and send them to my by ship mail smile.gif
