The Black Plague ripped through Europe when The British Empire was truly the dark overlords of everything. It was spread by rats - the fleas from the rats. The rats would sneak right in the buildings through little tunnels - and just wiggle their way in there to spread disease.
For this thread I tried to get a picture of the grimace of concentration Brits always use in conversation. The facial expression means, "I'm just doing my effort to sweat those little details, mate." and it's a half-smiling relaxed grimace. Kinda rodent looking. I just couldn't find it anywhere on the web. It's an exclusively British facial expression.
Anyway I'm sure people were thinking hard to find a cure for the Plague. Unfortuneately all the British did was to blame the Jews. Anti-Semitism goes back farther than the Nazis.
Religion is weird. I'm not sure about all this God stuff but if he exists I'm sure he hated the British. They really needed to loosen up about those details and let people have fun. It's always highly moral to evolve and the Dark Ages was all about repressing progress . . . even the whimsical flights of fancy we take when thinking about our time's most interesting discoverys.
I have a hard time taking it as a message from God because while it's got all the details it needs to be deep enough to be divine . . . well I get upset when I think of God as a barely conscious absentee landlord. Obviously something is stirring there but I want results NOW so . . . I guess I'll have to just file it away as another X file.
Crikey mate!!
