I really have been watching and rewatching the episodes way too much, and now I'm jonesing for fanfiction. If only I could have made this a perfect thread starter and be like 'here! I've written something for you, almighty burgeoning fan base, as a mark of my undying love and dedication.'

But I haven't, so instead - a place for pre-fic discussions. Naming ships. Plot bunny adoptions. Challenges? It's always easier with challenges. And if you adopt a bunny or two, they multiply! (Like bunnies eh? But I am bunnyless :[ Looking to adopt.)

Gosh, it'll be my secondish popular ship ever! But what to call them? M&M is short and snappy, but is it copyright infringment?

I don't know if this is disturbing, but after the last episode I was feeling Mary/Stan. Almost more than Mary/Raph even. The talking at the same time? And that whole interlude over Marshalls head? I still don't know what was going on, but it was great.

I would enjoy a fanfiction on Mary/Marshall which has action/adventure and friendship/attraction.

I've not yet seen any IPS fanfiction. I'd like to see some Mary/Marshall UST (Unresolved Sexual Tension) type of fic. It's such a cliche, but perhaps they have to go undercover as a married couple? I dunno.

Lol, me too. I didn't really see it in the pilot, saw it a little in ep2 but then ep3 was like BAM! The "kiss" was just fantastic, I wasn't expecting it so I was just like *jaw floor* I'll write a fanfic sometime but I need to get into the character's more if you get me.

Hmm. I can feel the mental gears start slowly spinning... UST for sure, and I've never managed a a/a fic, and rarely even a plot-based fic, come to think of it. MmMm Good! (Gosh I'm sleep deprived. But who was the alliterative author who gave us Marshal Marshall and Marshal Mary, and where can I send the cookies?)

I challenge a trapped in an elevator fic. I feel like the fandom should get a couple out there before the show gives it a go, which at this rate will be soonish, heh.

Incidentally, is there a group/board/livejournal around for fanfic? I feel it'd really help to have a place to discuss characters and ideas, build a bible and nab betas, but this board doesn't really feel like the place for that depth of conversation.

I'm pretty sure I see a Mary/Durschwitz coming way before Mary/Marshall. I'm happy with either- I like 'em ALL.

Ooh, a challenge inspired by a Medea42 post in another thread: Mary and Marshall get drunk.

Especially interesting because neither drink on the job. (Remember that scene in 'Always a Bridesmaid' with Marshall all 'What'chya doing? Been drinking?" Mary: "Pshwa no. Just chatting with my man striptease here..."

If you're fond of other helpful ingredients to a challenge, optional inclusions are a crossdressing British guy (a la Michael Ceveris), Broadway, some sort of awards ceremony and any reference to M*A*S*H.

with and watch, because it looked cool. It's bad enough when everything you watch gets cancelled, somehow it's worse when everything you plan to watch gets cancelled before you get tv access. If it helps, I'm still working on some Cupid fanfic, and that was cancelled what, 9 years ago? They might kill our shows, but they'll never kill our spirit!
