So i am in love with Psych but i don't know anyone in my school who loves it just as much as i do, i try to talk about it but people are always like "are you talking bout Noelle". Soi think there should be a Psych convention so the fans could interacte and talk about Psych and maybe meet the cast. Personally if i meet the cast i would most likely pass out. Anyway and there could be merch and a place where you could submit an i dea for an episode and at the end of the the day the best one could be chosen and made into an episode or something.


So maybe if i get enought people to like my idea then the USA people would notice and have a convention....somewhere near me of course.....lol......

that'd be AWESOME!!! altho it's unlikely it'll ever happen =( but if it did it'd better be in the summer!!! i would be so mad if it were while i was in school or somethin

A con just for Psych that would be awsome. So awsome I would find anyway possible to go there. I would even help out if I could. It sound more than great it sound awsome. There would be alot of things to work out like who, what, when, where, how and no reason to state why. At the con they could have a contest for a role on psych maybe. I hope there becomes a con. That would be cool!

That'd be awesome. The Scifi shows do that. I've wanting to go for years to an Stargate Convention.

If we wanna think BIG... the head honchos should consider a general USA Network convention, an NBC Universal Convention. But on a smaller scale, all it really takes is a project manager/coordinator/event planner to get a whole weekend set up, not to mention a location (hotel, resort, or hall [a convention center would be for a larger scale]) and then from there... sponsors, money, actors, and merchandise.

I kinda feel inspired now. But I also like to dream big. Afterall, I've never been to a convention before, all I've read are reports from fans.

We need an offical count of who all would come. So far I am getting the number 12 maybe 15. We need at least 100 people to have a convention (I think). Or we could have some type of psych meeting and not call it a convention and we might get away with less people. Oh we could start a Psych fan club! Fan clubs get to have special perks.....


I am still thinking I think we can come up with our own convention or meeting or something. It will be great. We can do this the hardest part is getting some of the psych cast to come to it. We can do this and we must try. I will help organize will all my ability!

Cons are only successful when there's a really LARGE following. Comiccon, dragoncon, various anime conventions, Star Trek...I don't know if a show like Psych would generate that level of interest. I mean, it's a great show and I'd definitely try to go if there were a convention, but that'd require hundreds of other people who'd be willing to put it together and go.

I think the idea of a USA convention would be more realistic. It'd draw a much larger crowd, plus there's more than one show I really enjoy on USA. All the Psych fans would still get to hang out together, and everybody wins.

I'd be up for a Psych con. I'd also be up for a Psych fan club, which seems easier. I would definitely go to a USA con (love Burn Notice too!) or an NBC con so we can have an excuse to include SVU, specifically Christopher Meloni.

What actually happens at these things?

I'm envisioning a bunch of fans showing up and getting in line to meet the stars. Each fan says something they think is clever but is really lame and the actors laugh politely and wonder what time it is and how long they have to stay there. Then the fans chuckle nervously and say they really like the show and are fans and the actors politley thank them. A picture is snapped.

I never met anyone famous. (I did talk to David Cassidy for a business thing once, though. Shall I pause so you can oooh and ahhh and be envious?) I don't know how it goes when that stuff happens. Are refreshments served?

I would go if it were in New York and I'd bring a person or two. If it isn't in New York I can't go - no money. You can also find some Psych fansites or something and try and get them hyped about the convention idea. I'm sure many people who aren't on this board would want to go.

I would totally go. I actually found this thread because I was curious if USA had a con! I have at least two people that would go with me if I went, too. I imagine the con would be in CA if they had one, being as how the show is supposed to be set there, plus lots of huge cons are either there or in NY. Also, it's possible to have just a Psych con. Supernatural has its very own con so why not Psych?

I say go for the fan club and try to organize a party or visit to the set; a con could be possible, especially if there are enough people you can get hooked in via fan clubs. Have you ever heard of the show Gargoyles? This show only had two seasons, has been off the air for years, and still has a yearly convention called "The Gathering" that is unofiicial, put on by the fans. They even managed to get the creator there a couple of times. Or the Prom Parties for the Twilight books; I don't think those are official either, but the author of the books showed up to some of them anyway. Get enough people involved and anything is possible!
