At 69 words, Lozzie, I do believe they call this "throwing down the gauntlet." tongue.gif

Showing the Hand

She found Bobby and the Chief of Detectives talking earnestly.

“What’re you discussing?”

The chief looked up. “You almost shooting your partner back there.” He notices her grimace.

“Definitely wouldn’t have buttered your parsnips, eh, Eames?”

Both Goren and Eames looked up, startled. “WHAT!?”

“Now where did I hear that recently?” He walked away; Ross wondered why his Detectives looked liked they’d each seen a ghost.

I'm laughing, but nervously. Oh Nicole, she just keep sleeping her way higher.

Hi Bubba here, you did a good job on this.

WAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Too funny! You throw the gauntlet down hard, you know that?

Great job!
Lozzie
I love this!

So - the challenge is the phrase "Showing The Hand"? Is that right?

You can use "Showing the Hand" if you want to, but the challenge is word count. I've got 69 words. How low can you go? laugh.gif
Lozzie
Oh I don't think I can beat 69. smile.gif

We should try and do LO:CI Haiku - you know, those Japanese poems that have three lines. The first line has 5 syllables, the second has seven, and the final one has five again.

Oh c'mon, Lozzie, I bet you could! smile.gif

But, here's a haiku to both our fave detectives, alone and together.

What is it we love?

His mind, her snark. Their goals, one.

This is what we love.

Nice job. Loved it.

This is great. Hmm, Nicole in the inner offices of power. That's not suprising even if it is creepy.

WOW! Great one, unsteady!

Here's a Bobby one:

Who's Robert Goren?

Brilliant, quirky, a bright boy,

Figures out the case.

Great one Spook. I actually thought of one for Alex, about her humor.

Her eyes shade the world.
Tilt this way, then that--the world
makes sense, and she laughs.
Lozzie
LO:CI Haiku - we could have started off a trend here, folks.

We should try Limericks next -

"There once was a bobby called Goren
Who sometimes was sleepy and snorin' - "

No. I'll stop there. And I use the word 'bobby' in the British policeman sense.
unsteady
Is that where they came up with Bobby? that's brilliant, if they did.

There once was a bobby named Bobby.
He always was smart, but not snobby.
He serves and protects,
writing wrongs and neglects--
You're insane if you don't love our Bobby. laugh.gif

Well, since I don't want to be considered "insane".... laugh.gif

That was really good. I don't think I could top that!

That's a cool one for Eames, unsteady!

Commenting on "Showing The Hand." Thought it was very clever and only 69 words. Impressive.
