... if I know that they have no compunction at cancelling it and leaving its viewers hanging?
I am not putting down any shows but has USA (and NBC) thought about this at all? For instance Burn Notice sounds interesting but I am not going to start watching simply because I hate being left hanging wondering how the writers wanted to end the show.
Of course I shouldn't be suprised. NBC has screwed up the other networks they have acquired as well.

I don't think anyone would want their favorite show cancelled. It looks like they will pick the story back up in the book series. By the way, Burn Notice is a very good show, USA would be stupid to cancel that show anythime soon.

You're absolutely right, and ratings indicate that USA viewership is down overall since the 4400 was canceled. Now whether thats a coincidence or not, I don't know.
What I do know is that I watched a show for 4 years and have a list of unanswered questions longer than one for Lost. I am not upset that it was canceled, I'm upset that it was not finished.
I honestly have not watched USA since then and doubt I will. I have since found several new shows that I like, such as Heroes and Dexter.
In the meantime, I DL episodes of Burn Notice because it is actually a good show, but I enjoy stealing it from USA and not letting them count my viewership for advertising money.

Exactly! Don't waste your time with any show that is showing on the USA Network. I really like the show Burn Notice. But as I have said before, that channel no longer activate from my remote. It doesn't exist. I have not so much as turned on the channel since The 4400 was cancelled and I will never watch it again. "ever"! Ms Bonnie Hammer can have her Network.

Like it would be very stupid to can The 4400 in the middle of one of it's highest story arcs?

I will never watch another USA Network show after how dirty they did us fans. They have totally lost my trust. They cancelled their best show with no real ending...I am actively boycotting USA Network! Tell your family & friends!

I've been boycotting USA since I found out the show was canned, so you're definitely not alone.

Thanks, Syco.....
I don't think that any real, true, die-hard fan of The 4400 should ever watch that network ever again! In fact, perhaps our next "movement" should be to petition the world to stop watching. Get them in the pocket, so to speak!

I will always think USA are dumb a$$es for cancelling The 4400 and Dead Zone, but I do still enjoy Burn Notice, Psyche, and once in a while Monk. I am very pleased that The 4400 is continuing in book form though, so I guess my advice would be to wait and see if the novels tickle your fancy. I know of at least one very good author behind them.

I understand that some folks watch other shows on USA Network, so they don't want to give up those programs. However, one suggestion would be to catch them on youtube.com or some other site (even pirate) rather than tune into USA Network on the television.
Sorry, but I really do feel that strongly & harshly!

I agree. We need to hit them in the pocketbook, positively and negatively. Positively, by buying the book and/or raising funds to finish the 4400 ourselves, and negatively, by depressing USA's ratings for their shows. I also reccommend that 4400 fans get themselves cast as Nielsen families and then not watch USA. That really hurts because each family is counted as several thousand.

amerish it's been a while since i've been on the forum but i share your view and sentiments wholeheartedly!!! keep it up
i myself dont watch usa anymore since the day i found out about the cancellation , usa&cie treated us fans of 4400 worse than trash, and i wont ever forgive them for that
as you say for other shows just download or see them online somewhere if u really want to u can find them , i myself have given up "psych" and guess what i'll just wait for september to see it in french on french tv, it's a good thing i'm bilingual...and frankly the only show i'm watching right now are those i've already been invested with for a few yrs now, like lost and bsg but when they're done i'll be done
the way i see it there are many shows i havent seen yet oldies i never had a chance to view , seasons of some shows i missed ,so there'll be plenty to do when tv stops been such a toxic addiction for me...and well there somany new channels out there with better fan/tv execs communication skills that USA wont be lost on me, i knwo i'll stay firm, once lost trust is very hard if not impossible to regain!!

evenstar22.....great to see you on the boards again
Good job....keep your TV off USA Network. They obviously have no respect or regard for their viewers. How could any viewer ever trust them again after how bad they screwed the fans of their most well rated show?

You know what ires me the most.... is that fans of Moonlight and Passions are trying to get USA to pick up their shows! I mean, if they did this to such a wonderful show of their creation, what are they going to do with shows they inherited from other networks?

been a while since i've logged on after the cancelation >.> haven't watched anything from the network either.. although i kind of find it insulting that there is a show like Dr. Stevie-o while the 4400 is cancelled

doesn't seem right to me.
part of me actually wonders if that's what the USA Network thinks of it's viewers >.>

I will stop watching USA Network as well. I will make sure that the rest of my family members and friends do the same since they loved to watch the 4400 series. At least end it properly USA.

I was working in Europe this summer and just returned home. I cleared out my entire DVR so that I would have room for the new season of my favorite show "The 4400" only to find it completely blank!! I am simply amazed that USA would cancel such a phenomenal show! I, like everyone else here has watched this show from the very beginning and was glued to the TV every week unlike any other program on any other network. The cast and writers were amazing! I work in TV myself and must say to USA, I totally think you shot yourself in the foot. You have had what I would call B list shows for years and I never watched your network until The 4400. Occasionally I would watch The Dead Zone which was also a good show. I believe you got more viewers to other shows of yours because of The 4400. Everyone I know raved about the The 4400 and couldn't wait until summer to see what happened next. Now, I guess we'll never know. The least you could have done for your devoted fans and the show that in many opinions, put USA Network on the map, was to do a finale show to put an end to all the questions. I will never watch another show on USA.

I wont be watching another USA network series until they show that they can be trusted not to screw over their viewers.
All it would take is a couple of episodes to wrap everything up and leave their viewers happy instead of betraying their trust after 4 years.....
If networks think they can get away with this sort of behavior without suffering consequences then they are wrong!
SciFi are a shocker for this also so I make sure to only download their shows even when it is less convenient to do so rather than support them. I am not going to support a network that is going to do the wrong thing by me after 4 years when it would take little more effort to end things properly.
Even if they made a small loss on the final episodes (not that they would with the 4400), they would benefit in the long run from an increase in goodwill.

I too boycott USA now. I won't watch any program they produce now, not until the tie up the loose ends with the 4400. I liked a few other shows on there but screw them if they are going to treat it's viewers like that. What would it take for them to complete the story for us, who watch it faithfully for 4 years.
