I just needed an energectic drink, non-alcoholic, 'cause I've slept only three hours last night.
I was up to catch up the news on the season's premiere, that finished at 9pm USA time, but 11PM here.

Ok, no big deal, but when I got to bed, I heard a strange noise on the backyard: my dog had just starting to deliver her little tiny wet yet pretty puppies.....
And she's blind, and a bit lazy on her mind (no similarities with her owner AT ALL , Mandeville!), and I have to help her on the procedure...

I was up all night.

but the effort was compensated: she had SEVEN beautiful puppies!!!! she is a brown Akita and the father is a white German Sheppard ( hope the names are correct) so their puppies are very, very, very cute!

well, at least I got something to distract my mind about M/N shipping.......

Puppies? I love puppies. Back in the day when I was raising and showing dogs one of my favorite things to do was rub the belly of my pregnant female and feel the puppies kick. Birthing puppies, I love the smell, the wet wiggly little things and when it's all over I love the milky smell of mom and her babies. It's almost like being next to God helping new little lives come into the world.

Cashews? Pass them over here along with a citrus ice tea, if you'd be so kind. I just dropped by for a snack and a night cap...and some good old fashioned conversation.

I've had a very long day. I worked 5.5 hours without a break and working in a pet store isn't just standing at a cash register ringing up sales...at least not in our store. We bag all our own small animal and bird seeds and that's what I did today. I'm not use to lifting 50# bags anymore...or bags of dog food and carrying them out to people's cars.

And the questions we get asked and the answers we have to know...I'm not a vet or vet tech but the customers think all the employees are.

Tomorrow I have to file dog food cards, a big stack from June 30 forward while I take care of the whole store while the manager runs around taking inventory so she can place our orders for the stuff we need later this week. That, and try to keep an eye on 19 kittens running lose in the store so no one tries to steal one, and price in any orders that may be delivered, and answer the phone...I hate ringing telephones almost as much as I hate screaming kids having a temper tantrum because momma won't buy them a kitten. It's a small store but boy is it understaffed.

Glad I really love my job though, even if the pay is lousy. There is satisfacton in having customers know you by name and value your knowledge, seek you out...

Now if only the 'Buys a House' war would end this would be a perfect world to come to...so, come on, I'm buying...robo tenders set up a new round and put out more cashews and maybe a few peanuts in the shell....

I think the problem (and the solution) might have been the fan fiction.

Since you and I were both writing some shipper fic (and I will read yours soon -- I've been wanting to -- I just have been trying to get mine done by the premiere -- which I did) the quick transition between alternate universes was a little jarring.

Especially the reference by AB, which I still can't figure out why he would say that. It seems to me the ambiguity was better for the show. Why anger a large group of your fan base? It makes all those teaser moments between Monk and Natalie to seem more like a lie.

But anyway, AB created some great fictional characters, and I guess he has the right to control what they say and do.

But I still have my own imagination -- so anything is possible, right?

you see, M1 told me she though AB and the writer very tired. Maybe he was, really, and maybe he just said that to finish the interview quickly. Anyway, it will really ruin the show to get the two of them together now, we know, but as you said, I do not want them together now, I just want to enjoy the possible shipping scenes....and I cannot do it now so eagerly like I did before....
Anyway, I though it was a great episode, the needed linking one. And I felt Monk and Natalie closer, they relation changed, they are closer friends now. It was the start, and for the next one I bet they will introduce a new opening sequence also!

Maybe AB and the writer were tired of thae constantly questions about M/N, but it had they thought their answer thoroughly? Can they really say so surely now, how the show will end. Have they already decided it. It would be fair to leave some maybies in the air.
I don´t know why they are teasing us with the gentle moments between Adrian and Natalie if they don´t mean anything. I am trying to keep my hope up, anyhow. You never know, maybe the writers will change their mind... in the end...

Okay -- what would you put in a TS? (If we can keep it non-alcoholic, that would be good. We have a lot of non-drinkers here. But since it's a virtual bar, it doesn't really matter that much)

Mr Monk doesn´t drink, but about Tony I don´t know. We could make both alcohol and non-alcohol version. Maybe something blue in it, so it remains this cleaning fluid.

I have also got problems with my combuter, Bflogal. It is terrible slow and goes all the time to dead ends. At the day it was specially difficult. There was some other program on at the same time, and it didn´t work almost at all. Really frustrating! I should send it cleaning, but then I would be without internet a couple of days. Hard to decide... I can´t stand machines which don´t work as they should be.

I hope your computer problems get straightened out -- mine was caused by a combination of a series of thunderstorms that knocked out our satellite reception, and a rather nasty download limit -- which, when exceeded, slows down the internet for a snails pace for 24 hours as a penalty. Grrrrrr.

I'm not sure about making a non-alcoholic and an acoholic version of the TS. I can't see myself coming in here and asking for a virgin Tony Shalhoub -- it seems rather awkward.

Maybe we can name the NA version the Adrian Monk, and the other the TS.

There might be viruses or something like that in our machine. But it works yet, somehow.

Well, I had a blue martini once...and it did look like Windex...and had some kick to it!

The non alcholoic version could be a sprite with a blue lemonade or something like it...I'm not a bartender but I'm sure someone could create a nice drink for our Bar..

Equal amounts ginger ale and white cranberry juice, and a little blue raspberry syrup (like the kind used at 7-11 for slurpees -- just to get it the right color of Windex blue.

Sounds interesting...but I am not a fan of the cranberry juice...guess I will stick with the alcholic version...

maybe we coul have two TS drinks: one for Monk, non alcoholic and other for The Monk, alcoholic!

So how to make them? I can´t imagine, that windex is tempting, but if Natalie has drank it, so why not me too? And anyhow we will not drink real windex, although I can quess it is possible in the virtual bar. The suggestions sound interesting.
Definetely non-alcohol monk -drink has egual amount of each component, and alcohol the monk has a lot of alcohol, and a little of something else. Curaqao is a blue liquer, but I am not sure is it´s taste the best possible.

I hope things here on our board will soon calm down.

Hehe -- if you go back a few posts, you will find that we named the non-alcoholic one the Adrian Monk and the alcoholic on the Tony Shalhoub. (so that no one would have to come into the bar and order a 'virgin' Tony Shalhoub -- very awkward.)

So, lets remake these, (I'll take out the cranberry juice from the Adrian Monk) and tell me if they sound okay--

Adrian Monk: sprite with a dash of blue raspberry syrup, served with a lemon wedge (because a wedgie is also known as an Adrian)

Tony Shalhoub: equal parts sprite and Vodka, with a dash of raspberry syrup.

I love these ideas for the drinks Bflogal...For Stott maybe a drink that is green so it would match his yoyo...Disher..something hard for his edgy personality as a rocker! Or maybe something that could match is PJ's from up all night!
