My daughter grew up on Barney, my son knows of Barney but he liked Blue better. Ok off to take care of that thing now.

My first 3 kids watched Sesame Street (of course), Mr. Rogers Neighborhood (which they have tried for years to deny), and Captain Kangaroo (truly a classic). My youngest grew up with good old Sesame Street, Barney (which she now tries to deny), and Reading Rainbow (loved it!).

I watched Sesame Street and Captain Kangaroo growing up but my daughter never did. She just watched Barney. My son watched Blues Clues and Dragon Tales and then Fairly Oddparents and now it is iCarly and Drake and Josh. Geez they grow up so fast.

I just wanted to take the time to thank the people who have been my friends during the time that I've been at the forum. Unfortunately, I doubt that I'll be coming around much anymore until this situation is fixed. How sad is it that such horrible filth and nonsense are allowed to be posted and nothing is done about it but BUG and other wonderful friends and members still can't participate in this forum?

I wish you all the best and may check in to the fic thread from time to time, but don't expect me to participate in the lower threads. There are definitely situations that need to be addressed by Admin and until that happens this is not the welcoming place it once was.

I have made some wonderful friends and home that we can keep in touch. Take care all.

I've reported every single thread and post from that person. But I guess Admin is too tired from changing the font to an unreadable one to do anything about this.

I am with ya, however I may not even be up here either. This is just getting to be too much. People are leaving and I am upset. Anyone that has a FF account, I may just read their stories there and come in here for Shattered and the stories and challenge fics that arent' on FF. I grew up with Sesame Street before Elmo came along. Bert and Ernie are my favorites. My little brother used to watch Barney, Blue’s Clues, and now he’s into Drake and Josh, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, High School musical, etc. It’s hard to believe he’s now a grown-up kid.

Teletubbies? Yuck! My mother never let my little brother to watch that. All you can hear is from that show is "Uh-Oh". It makes the kids, you know, dumb. No offense. And yeah, Bob the Builder and Thomas the Train were also his favorites.

My thought, too, but it came on right after Barney, which meant I got a whole hour to be by myself in the bathroom when they were little. I could shower AND shave my legs PLUS blow-dry my hair, dress and put on a little make-up before they'd come looking for me! lol

The best thing to come out of TT for our family was the "Big Hug". My 7yo fell in love with that and could say "big hug" before she was two; we still do "big hug" (whole family hug) to this day and smile fondly!

I LOVE Thomas the Tank Engine! The Shining Time Station epis were awesome! We bought the movie, with Alec Baldwin as Mr. Conductor and watched it over and over and over.....wore out a video of 6 epis, too!

I love Seame Street. I love the Count.

No need to apologize, sis spook. You have no control over the rants of someone as misguided as this person obviously is. When I joined this forum, I didn't know the first thing about it. You and janxangel were the first two people to talk to me. I've made a lot of wonderful friends here and even though you and I have never met face to face, you have proven time and again what a caring, sincere person you are. I am glad that you are my sister and best friend. Anyone who cannot understand that is really the loser in the whole situation. They are looking to cause trouble and to find attention. Too bad there's nothing that can be done to stop them.



Agreed, cifan - no one is to blame for any of this except the person responsible for the offensive post. There are many friends here and it's sad that one person is being allowed to ruin such a wonderful place.

She has it posted over at fanfiction.net as well. She posts as JudyG there, too. That one is much easier to read since the reviews/comments are separate from the chapter postings. You can go read the whole story there, then come back over here and give your opinion. Hope this helps! Her two stories are really great, you should read Haven for a Heart first if you haven't already, then read this one. She's got another one in the works that will take up where this one leaves off...I can't wait for that one to get started!

It keeps all of the family together and we know that we have more control over what will be allowed - If anyone finds something offensive, they know that they have moderators to e-mail or PM and the situation will be addressed. THAT in itself is a nice feeling.
