Hey everyone
VDO Vault and I talked awhile back and thought it would be fun to send Vincent birthday wishes and cards from everyone on the board. Vault will then print them off and have his LOCI writer friend who helped us with the cakes, deliver them to Vincent himself. Cool huh?

Thanks for putting this together.
Vince, I hope you have a wonderful birthday.

Thank you and the crew for giving us the best show on USA Network. I have really enjoyed your acting and your interactions with Kathryn Erbe (Eames) on the show is priceless. Anyways, have a great birthday and take care buddy.

Actually I'm a she, not a he nila. But don't worry, I get that a lot when I'm online...must be that masculine-looking avatar of mine
Anyhow I will be emailing a link to this thread here at the USA CI forum to the writers so that it can be printed out and presented to you-know-who for his amusement (and ours). With that make your birthday wishes to Vincent here and try and keep them friendly and not too scary
So hello to Vincent, we're all very glad you're back to work on CI and at least one of us here is working her backside off to keep it that way (a thoroughly stupid and pig-headed AMPTP notwithstanding).
Since you had the writers's backs during the strike which was much appreciated here and envied by fans of other TV shows, if that's the route one or more of the actors's unions have to go then you and all the other CI actors from the background artists on up to the 'famous' thespians should know that we're with you no matter where this goes. I've got two weeks to do the impossible -- make this not paying or respecting actors nonsense stop on or before June 30th. I am probably more likely to fail at meeting the deadline of June 30th than succeed but I'm behind my keyboard and working the phones allied with other fans and people in the audience and anyone else I can recruit to do whatever we can to get you all a good minimum basic agreement by the contract expiration date or at a minimum keep the AMPTP talking and encourage them to make a decent deal with SAG sooner rather than later while keeping production going (and not locking any one out or forcing a strike). So there's your birthday present from this fan...it's the least I can do for the many hours of fulfilling entertainment you have provided us all with. Besides if you stop working there goes my fix of new things to see you in (sigh...again) and that is just not acceptable.
Also thank you for getting Five Minutes Mr Welles posted online so the whole world can finally see it. We're all pretty much universally impressed by it. I am looking forward to seeing you direct more and write more which is more motivation for all of us to get the AMPTP to wise up already.
I'm hoping that your 49th birthday will be a good one and that the whole year will be positive and memorable.
Happy Birthday!

PS I finally saw 'Mrs Palfrey at The Claremont' last night for the first time...from a cute and very quick reference to 'The Whole Wide World' in a scene in a video store (as well as several references to David Lean's 'Brief Encounter') to really amazing performances from Joan Plowright and Rupert Friend and a terrific cast of British character actors...well I was charmed and moved. I guess I have to thank you for introducing Dan Ireland to the world...he's still making really good movies. It's cool when you work with a director because more often than not they go on to do more good films and so once I've seen you work with someone it's as if you personally have recommended to us that their other films are worth seeing. I don't know how you developed such good taste, but I appreciate it and am always glad to be introduced to the works of other talented people.

Vincent,
Seems odd to write as if I know you on a first name basis, when you don't know my existance from any other fan, but Mr. D'Onofrio seems so formal and awkward for a birthday wish. I hope you're enjoying yourself and celebrating with your family. I know we've all been celebrating the return of the show, as well as your continued soaring level of performance. You're fantastic - no way around it, and you neve cease to amaze me in the ways you have continuously kept me and so many others entertained.
But this isn't about your career, but about you. It's hard, sometimes, for a fan to see you beyond the characters you have played, but it's time to celebrate your birthday, and I hope you do it in style.
Enjoy yourself. You deserve it.
Best wishes on your special day,

I can't let this opportunity pass without thanking you for sharing the gift of your wonderful talent with us. Your artistry, hard work and pursuit of excellence shines through in everything you do, especially the brilliant "Five Minutes Mr. Welles". Of course all of us here at the USA Board are thrilled to have Bobby back with us again in the new episodes of LOCI and we are way beyond thrilled that you have signed up for season eight.

Vincent,
I love to sing, and if there were anyway to create a link on a printed sheet of paper that would sing "Happy Birthday" to you from me, I would do it.
I hope this finds you surrounded by your family and thoroughly enjoying your best birthday yet!
Thank you for your incredible work every time you step onto the LOCI stage. You never cease to amaze me with Bobby, and I look forward to each and every episode. Oh, would you ask the writers to let Bobby dance again? We here at the USA message boards just love it when Bobby dances, cuts up, smiles, laughs, etc.....basically, we want more of the "happy Bobby" back.
Thank you also for getting your fabulous "Mister Welles" piece posted on the internet. It is an incredible bit of film making, writing, directing and acting and I feel blessed and honored to have been able to see it. I'm gonna have to go see it again, and share the link with my friends. You are truly an exceptional talent in the entertainment industry and I hope you do more writing and directing in the future.
Again, the happiest of birthdays to you, Mr. D'Onofrio.......you're wanted on the set by your fans here for many, many, many years to come.

Also, you might not remember this, but you met my brother at Toys R Us (twice), he is retired NYPD working security there, and I think he coerced you into leaving a voicemail for me. Vincent,
Criminal Intent might just be a cop show, but it's a damn good cop show. I remember watching the first episode and getting hooked right away. Since then, CI has been an "appointment show" for me; I turn out the lights and turn off the phone.
Thanks for pretending to be Goren - he's damaged but lovable - and for bringing a bright spot to my week.
Thanks for being who you are. Keep taking risks. Have a great birthday!

Dear Sweet Vincent,
You have all my best wishes for a wonderful birthday.
May the year ahead be one filled with joy and fulfillment.
I met you at the LOCI Season 2 DVD signing in NYC on December 12, 2006. You were very kind to me, took a picture with me, wished me a "Merry Christmas" and even gave me a kiss on the cheek! I was so starstruck I couldn't speak. So I hope you don't mind if I take the opportunity to thank you now... for the picture, the kindness you showed me, and, of course, the kiss.
I would also like to thank you for staying with my favorite show - LOCI - and giving your fans the performances we can't seem to stop talking about! And thank you, thank you, thank you for "Five Minutes Mr. Welles". I was thrilled to see how you've imagined a wonderful actor like Orson Welles would prepare for his roles. I now see it's not as easy as you artists make it seem. Your performance, direction, and production were superb. I was totally immersed in the experience within seconds. And it has stayed with me for quite a while. But I almost expect to feel that way when I see your work. The stories you have chosen to participate in are captivating, as are your portrayals of the characters you've chosen. I deeply appreciate your work.
I hope you are able to spend your birthday with your beautiful wife and children. I have found that family is the best gift of all...and you deserve the best!
Happy Birthday!
Love,
