What do you guys think about Bobby's beard? I, myself, think it's hot! What are your comments?

Definitely scruffy-
But I would like to see Vincent with his own mustache, loved the way he looked as Donny Smalley, but know that wasn't his mustache-

goatees are good! As a rule, I don't care for facial hair on men, however, I have always thought that VDO looks good with a beard or goatee. Just not the half grown stuff that makes him look like a bum.

I prefer clean shaven, but I just adore the 5 o'clock shadow---scrrrrrrufffffff! YUM! Did NOT find the full, very gray beard attractive at all, but I don't think it was meant to be....Now a full and GROOMED beard is nice too. Give me a manly man and I'm happy...

Yeah, I like it when it first comes out too, like at the end of a long day. yummmm
Also, the length of the beard he had in Purgatory would have looked better if he trimmed the neck and top of his cheek. Don't let it grow like wild ivy...

I never really cared for men with alot of ungroomed facial hair, I always thought it meant they could care less what they looked like and wouldn't care much about anything. Now it's not so bad, I'd take him shaven or not, not sure I like the full beard though. Accentuates the weight. I guess I'm a cleanshaven girl after all. Very neat and SPIFFY! Thats the VDO I'd like to see. And bring back those nice suits. More suits, more suits, more suit!

I like clean shaven, 5 o'clock shadow and what I like to call "controlled scruff" aka "scruffalicious". (that's what I've always called my husband lol) I'm not much for beards and VDO looks good with or without a beard IMHO but with Bobby it is usually a beard grown out of angst and personal neglect. It usually looks messy.

Good way to put it hull, "controlled scruff."
Personally, I loved his scruffy look in "semi-Detached," which someone else mentioned. Sort of a George Michael's shadow.

I absolutely adore the beard. It is very sexy to me....my husband grew one 20 years ago for me and has never lost it...despite his mom's dislike of it. I find facial hair to be wonderfully sensual and it's hard for me to keep my hands out of it. Hubby is very patient...like he doesn't enjoy the attention!

OK since someone mentioned George Michael. I thought that When Bobby was taking target practice in Purgatory, he had a George Michael kind of look with those safety goggles on.

Beard for Bobby no - too much grey/white in it, just makes him look old and tired now, but back in the day that late afternoon/early evening after a long hard day shadow/scruff in the older epis - that rocked I don't know just loved that.
Beard for Vincent - used to love it, but it ages him too much now, too much grey/white in it.

I'm not a fan of the full beard look for Bobby. I prefer VDO without excessive facial hair in any role and I really don't like the goatee thing.
Personally, I absolutely love the bone structure and expressiveness of VDO's face which is why I have captured hundreds of screencaps of it. Excessive facial hair obscures his beautiful bone structure and IMHO hinders the subtle nuances in his performance conveyed so adeptly through his eyes and facial expressions. My preferred look for Bobby and VDO is clean shaven or a bit scruffy, like in my favorite photo of Bobby.
