POSTING PICTURES

It's quite simple if you have a free account at http://photobucket.com/, that's the site that most of us use.

1. You will transfer the picture from your computer to the http://photobucket.com/account.

2. Once the image is in the http://photobucket.com/account,

3. Click on the the bottom line (of the four) below the thumbnail image.

4. Right click and then select copy that...

5. Point at your reply, Right click, select (left click) Paste - that will paste the image information onto the text area of your reply message...

6. The main restriction on posting images is that they are resized to be not larger than 450 pixels wide and this is to help those on the board that have their screens set to a larger image for viewing. (the edit function on www.photobucket.com has a built in resize function.)

Reporting Spam

If you see a spam post or a thread, please do not respone to it. Simply report it. Here's how to do it. Click on the thread and look under the username for a "Report" button, click on it and tell the Admin here, that it is a spam post or thread and he will remove it. That's it. You help kept the forum clean of spam. Wasn't that easy! smile.gif

Thanks Bubba!

It took me a long time to figure out how to post pictures and then I couldn't stop posting them! Its very addictive. But now I have so many pictures on Photobucket and I never have figured out how to put them in folders, so its getting kind of cumbersome to find a picture that I know I've posted before and want to post again.

Thanks for the technical info!

My remaining question is about spoiler etiquette. (I'm new to the USA boards entire.) I'm guessing episode threads are anything goes once the show airs, but what are the expectations about posting in them beforehand? Should everything be spoilercut if it has details?

And er, in general, what are the times to use a spoiler-cut in any thread? Can we assume people've seen the advertised previews?

You are right, anything goes after the episode airs. You can discuss about what you think might happen without a spoiler box though. If you do have a spoiler about an episode, it best to let someone know before you post them by telling them you have a spoiler or simply put them in the spoiler box, by clicking on Insert Special Item and then by clicking on Insert Spoiler.

Whenever you have information about what will happen in an episode we haven't seen.

That's I what I know about the spoiler guidline so to speak. wink.gif Others could fill in more or the Admin can.

Its also best to use spoilers until the West Coast people have seen the episode, usually 3 hours after the East Coast gets it.

Thankies muchly for previous suggestions/guidelines! Many a faux pas has been avoided already, and if I've been dumb in the face of help, it's my own bad.

Another question that has popped up- how kosher are links to non-USA sites, or any bulk derivative material, especially regarding things like fanfiction? Ie, I wouldn't post anything longer than a fun drabble here, but can/should we post links to a story hosted at livejournal/ff.net etc? Is that not encouraged? Is it down right bad?
Bubba_Bridges
Hi Bubba here, as far as I know BadAssJammieSquad, you can do that, just try to keep it to one thread. Maybe after while, admin might open up a Fan Fic sub forum for IPS like he did for CI and SVU.

Dear Sirs,
I have watched a couple of the In Plain Sight episodes and I would like to watch more of them
but I cannot because of the language factor. It is bad enough that the main character (role model) is having premarital sex with her friend and everyone does not mind doing right much
cursing, I decided to stop watching when the GD's were added to the mix. This type of
language is not called for and not acceptable for public veiwing. This is the reason that I
only watched a portion of one episode of Burn Notice, God's name is not to be taken in vain
and passed off as nothing. I think that people of ALL religions would agree on this point.
Thank you,
Gail

I'm pretty sure there's a better place to express these concerns - you might want to try sending a letter to USA networks.

Just keep in mind that it's cable and your moral perspective is NOT the view of the majority of the audience. You may find stuff more to your liking on Lifetime or the Hallmark channel.
