So, I know where we all are going to be four weeks from tonight at 10 P.M., right?!

(Okay, I'll be out in the barn doing the last "take care" of my horse for the night, but my VCR will be taping the program!)

I second that! I'll certainly be here & hoping the premiere rocks everybody's socks off!

After you're done with horse duty, CAGilder, you must come here to "squeee!" with us!

Oh, I'll most definitely be here. This premiere is going to be amazing. Gosh, it's been forever since the season finale.

It seems like it's been forever! I'll expect an explanation, Mr. Westen...
DanJ
I'll be tuned in, and recording the new episodes as they air.

28 more days!!! Will be on vacation that week and am seriously thinking of calling the hotel to make sure they have USA on their cable service. Surely yes...will die if they don't!! At least it will be recorded at home, but will miss being able to replay scenes that night. Geez, it's pretty pathetic when a vacation interfers with one's TV show obsession... huh.gif lol

*applause* another great caption!

I hope you get your explanation, FloridaRealtor!

Aw, we'll miss you on the forum that night, JennaV! But hope you have fun on vacation watching BN! This is the USA Network: Obsessions Welcome. wink.gif

That got a great big smile from me! biggrin.gif

CAGilder, my husband anticipated this thread two days before you started it. He asked if there was a countdown yet. I just informed him that there is, but I told him that you exercised restraint because it's in weeks not days. He said, "I'm amazed -- I thought it would be in hours!"

I thought about setting up one of those ticker-thingies, but my programming expertise is with databases, not web-stuff. I'll see if I can find an "hour countdown" thing online.

Tell your husband it's a good idea!

I haven't posted in a while but have kept up with the boards. I have been impatiently waiting all winter for the new season. I can't believe it's finally here. I am so psyched! biggrin.gif

No, no, don't! I'm trying to play down the obsession!

We can't let others know how bad it really is! huh.gif

Welcome back, hrstxb!! biggrin.gif Ditto on the impatient waiting, AND...it's getting worse now that it's getting closer, if that makes sense...

I'll be watching and taping and praying to GOD that my vcr doens't eat up any more of my tapes since it did the first round. I don't and can't afford a DVR for my tv and I can't afford TiVo. I would like for the show to do well since mostly because everyone involved on the show has worked so hard to put this out from the strike. But a part of me also doesn't want it to do any better than it has due to mass popularity. It lose's it's effect on the whole when it becomes out of control and a mass show. Too well known and it becomes overkill.

I understand what you're saying but it sometimes insures stability..(as in more seasons) and come on ... overkill? of JD and MrCampbell could there be such a thing? i dont think vestokes, natasha or tgirl would agree with overkill... and i'm right there too (lovingly obsessed. lol)... i think with this show... there could never be "too much of a good thing"
And with ya on the tiVo so hoping that comes down in price soon ! (fingers crossed) tongue.gif Peace.
JennaV
I don't think there's too much danger of overkill on a cable network (unless you're thinking of a show like The Hills, which is front cover tabloid all the time now). Look at The Closer, which has been the highest rated summer show, going on its fourth season. Both the show and Kyra Sedgewick have received a significant amount of publicity from the start, but neither the show nor KS have lost integrity and been thrown to the wolves, so to speak. JD and BN are becoming more publicized and recognized all the time, but I doubt seriously that he or anyone on the show would ever become tabloid fodder. There's always a danger that a show will "jump the shark" with its storyline and drive fans away, but I think Matt Nix is too brilliant to let that happen. So...call me optimistic, but I think BN has several more FANTASTIC seasons to go!!!! biggrin.gif

I know what you mean -- I feared this too -- but I can't see it getting as out-of-hand as some things. It's not Baywatch -- tons more creativity and intelligence, not just about the bods (i.e. I'm not envisioning Gabrielle Anwar in Playboy). It's not going to create teen hysteria like The Hills. I doubt we'll see controversy amongst the cast either because they're all older and wiser.

I seriously doubt it'll go to JD's head too. I'm pretty sure from all that's posted about JD on the web that his life has been hard enough that he's too smart/wise to go Hollywood on us (raised by single working mom with two brothers, one brother killed as teen, worked multiple jobs in college, and way too much rejection as an actor I'm sure). He's actually tried to explain more than once that his life isn't all that glamorous, so he gets it. And, the interviewers all say how considerate or down-to-earth he is.

All of the above is why I'm still on this board. I'm a really good judge of character and wouldn't waste my time here if I had even an inkling that the people involved weren't deserving of the attention.

Another positive if it becomes more popular is more roles during and after for our beloved castmembers!

I hope this eases your worries. My intention is too soothe! rolleyes.gif

Ok, back to oggling and waiting over the upcoming season to start.... blah, blah, blah.... smile.gif I'm just sorry they didn't decide to shoot scenes elsewhere, like in another STATE!!! Now, Mikey better be wearing shorts and t shirts in the upcoming season. More SKIN!!!!!! smile.gif

OhmyGosh, I just saw the promos for Season 2 and I can't wait!!! I've been watching "In Plain Sight" just to get reacclimated to tuning in to USA, but "Burn Notice" it's not. It's just making me more hungry for "Burn Notice" to start. I've missed Jeffrey, Gabrielle and Bruce all winter. After watching "Moonlight" all season, "Burn Notice" is the only show strong enough to compete with the depth of characters and storylines. Seeing the promo was wonderful!

I'm not loving IPS. It is weak in comparison to BN. I think it's trying to be too cute. I do LOVE the character's boyfriend. Unfortunately, it looks like he will not be a regular on the show.
LuLuNY
I have to admit I caught one eppie of In Plain Sight but it hasn't really held my attention. I know it's really cheesy but I'll say it anyway, I need some EYE Candy otherwise I channel surf. Let's hope the coming season has more to offer. Again, USA Network is going for the 20 something crowd. It 's run and currently managed by the younger set, so for keeping Burn Notice on is, well, a miracle in and of itself on their part. And I am a bit tired of L&O 24/7 on USA.

Yeah, it's actually better than I thought it would be, but... meh, I can do without...

Now, BN on the other hand... gotta have my BN!

He's a Taurean. We are known to keep our feet firmly on the ground. This also explains his single-mindedness. He never considered any other career once he set his eyes on acting. This is a person that knows what he wants and will do what it takes to get it.
