Two mistakes I found in this episode.

1. When Randy rips off his picture off the wall in the doctor's office, he takes the drywall off. But right after that, the drywall is there and so are the rest of the pictures.

2. The stunt double for Monk in the hot air balloon, doesn't look anything like him, and the guy has an afro wig.

?

What did I miss?

Oh. Okay, there's the rest of it. lol. Yeah, they even acknowledge the whole picture/wall thing on the DVD as a continuity error. They mention the hole in the wall disappearing but don't say anything about a bunch of pictures falling and then somehow reappearing on the wall. rofl. And I agree about the stunt double. His hair was a lot longer than Tony's, his build is noticeably different, and yeah, that's an afro. Agreed.
Raven
Tony's actually commented about both of those things in disc the commentary of Leper.

You know wha was great about his episode - Julie. She gets the babysitter 1-upsman-ship, then the 'Leper-con" line and at the end she treats the real leper with all the respect and caring she would anyone else.

I think this was the first episode where I noticed she was a really good actress. Well, the first one I saw anyway. I watched a lot of the series out of synch the first time through. (Pre-DVD-Ownership) She was a polite little show stealer in my humble opinion.

And I loved the commentary on this episode. I wish they would do more commentary!

I was just about to make a topic about this episode..

by far that was the worse stunt double I've ever seen. Man dude looked nothing like monk lol...I couldn't tell if that was still taylor or a stunt double as well.

If I remember correctly, that was a stunt double for Traylor as well. I think she was quite pregnant at the time.

Yeah I didn't realize she was really pregnant to the mr monk at your service..They did a good job of not making it as noticeable and I was glad she didn't have to dimish her character either.

I didn't realize that she was really pregnant either, until Mr. Monk is at your Service. They did a great job of hiding it. Thinking back, there was a few scenes in other episodes where she looked a little different, but at the time I didn't think anything about it.

Yea...just watch Mr Monk and His Dad...I forgot that Traylor was pregnant then...noticed they hide her tummy behind a apron...then a presant...Got to give them props for doing their best to hide her growing tummy.

I didnt notice the picture thing as much...going to have to watch it again. I figured that it was a stunt double for Monk and Natalie. One thing I loved about the episode was the Leper. The actor was so hot... biggrin.gif . Natalie was so lucky!

What do you think of the black and white version of Leper? I really thought that was well done.

I have to ask this question, although I knew, this is a silly one. So about these stunts. I watched last night Mr Monk, the Private Eye through my computer, and because the view was really obscure at this scene, where he jumped to the sea and tried to swim there, I couldnīt distinguish, if there was Tony or a stunt man in the sea. It is just because of the bad visibility of my computer view at that moment.

I also watched the Leper, and thought all the time, how fine it would look that black-and white version. So, you can get the black-and-white version in every 5 season dvd-box? I have to get one!
I love the scene, where Monk told to the judge (or lawyer, whoever) in detail, how he had sex affairs with this lady, when the judge/lawyer -somebody demanded Adrian to prove his observation skills. It was so hilarious. And I suppose there was the first time, when they really show his ocd-like hand-washing, when he tried to wash the possible leper out from him. Nine hours! But I can really understand it. After washing he tried to light fire his hand.
Even I noticed the terrible stunt. I wonder, that they couldnīt make it better.
Taylor was pregnant there? I have forgotten.

I prefer the black and white version. And the actor they had for the doctor has a really good look for black and white. I have the season 5 set and it comes with both versions--I don't even bother with the color one. biggrin.gif

I have to laugh about the black and white version - it's great, dont get me wrong. But most series who try something out of the ordinary just try it and se what happens. Buffy the Vampire Slayer had an all quiet episode called Hush and an all singing and dancing episode called Once More With Feeling. Both times they just went with it.

But not Monk. Monk tries something odd - and does it PERFECTLY NORMALLY too. lol. You know, just to be even, and not upset the people who dont like change. lol. I cant wait until they do a 3-D episode. Maybe they'll comeout with a flip-book version of the 3-D episode just to make all the dimansions even, right?

Anyway, I liked the old film noir feeling of the B&W Lepur episode. I think the cast could do a really great 'flashback' episode where Monk could dream (in B&W) the solution to a 40 year old case or 60 year old case (God I'm getting old) with the current cast as the players in the old case.

I think Nat would make an excellent Fem Fatal, the captain woiuld be the tough-guy. Disher could be an up and coming musician in a love triangle and Monk could be the clarinet player who solves the case. All set in a jazz club or something.

But that's just a thought.

In the private eye episode I believe when he jumps that is a stunt double (much better one then on this episode lol) however it's kind of hard to tell even on normal tv.

If you want to tell if Taylor is pregnant on the leper episode it's the most obvious at the end. At first I didn't really pay attention but, after you see again at the end when she is about to go out you can tell she is a little bit bigger then usual.

I totally agree! I thought the B&W version had a total film noir feeling about it. I loved it better than the color version just because of how different it felt. I liked the introductions Tony/Ted/Jason did before each version when it aired.

Nice idea for an episode...you know they should hire you for the writing staff...you have a lot of good ideas! I think that the fem fatal idea would be a great for the 100th episode...show the great abilities of the writing staff!
